I'd be game for a decent size shoot...outdoor/not in and one without loads of restrictions. Most importantly would be a decent # of MG shooters there and preferably a Sat. all day type of event. I say all this selfishly bc I'm 6 hrs away but I usually hop at the chance for shoots within driving range.
Sorry to be incommun...incomuni...shit, out of touch for so long. Didn't get a real good feeling at the monthly meeting for full auto. There are so many shoots going on there on the weekends that I don't think they would fit it in even if they were accepting.\
I ran by the range today. They have suspended their public shoots on the first Saturday each month. I was told this was due to it being winter and it is expected to start up again in April. The rangemaster(don't know what else to call him) wasn't there today as the National Guard was training. I did speak to a deputy who was there holding a NRA class. He told m that the biggest problem would be scheduling. He said MGs wouldn't be a problem, as the use them all the time out there. I will try to contact the rangemaster again next week, to see if we could get a day out there. Otherwise, we could just crash their public day. Every time I have been out there for one, there hasn't been many people. The biggest problem I see with that, is that if there are not enough people, they don't open the 300yd range and keep everyone at the 50yd. I have shot on the 50 with no problems though. Hopefully I can come back with a little more hard info next week.
I haven't forgotten about this. I haven't heard back from the rangemaster still.... Last time I went, I spoke with a Deputy, who gave me his card and told me to call him, if I didn't hear back. Lost his card.... So, it's on me. However, if his info was correct, there will be a public shoot next weekend. I will swing by again, and try to get us some info on dates.
