buy the s&w 76

try to find a good review of a MK760 on line
try to find a Bad review of a S&w 76

I recently paid $9500 for a minty S&w76, but id say the market is closer to $10,500

Mk760's are $6500-7000

The S&W 76 is a true US military gun. Tested/Used by special forces...the Mk760 is a gun made for guys to play around with.

Don’t listen to mr NiB, find a local Mk760 that works - test fire it - and bam you saved yourself $4k for the same thing that works

I agree!!!! Just because Nib buys a smg once a month doesn’t make him an expert!!! True comparison is own them both or use them both then compare!! Can’t go off what the internet and google says!! Nib reminds me of the Holiday inn express commercial.

My MK760 is as reliable as my Laged out Max 11. YMMV. Objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.

Get the '76 book

Spend $50.00 before spending thousands; get the S&W76 book, covers the S&W 76 and all the clones; the Irvine, CA and Fruithurst, AL MK760s, Southern Tool /Global Arms M76A1, the Burgess SW 76 and the semi-autos.
Common problems, trouble shooting, MK760 and S&W magazines etc

I have an Irvine, California made MK 760. Do I like it? - Yes. Would I like to have a S&W 76? - Yes. Do I regret the purchase? - No. Depends on what your priorities are. A purist or someone who likes a good deal - I am both. Mine was NIB and I got it for a good price. I have a complete parts set (new) to include an extra SMG lower. I also have an SG9 suppressor for it.

Here's a video of it. Using Federal 124 FMJ's.

The S&W76 is a better SMG than the MK760 but there is nothing wrong with an MK760. I am working on producing parts for the 76/760s. In reverse engineering the parts S&W held much tighter tolerances on their parts. This is common on original manufacturer compared to clones. I bought a S&W76 because I wanted it to get 100% correct measurements of the parts. I would not rule out buying an MK760 for a shooter.
