No clue what I would sell it for, I am out way too much....may just shove it back in the safe and sell it in 15 years....I am done shooting it for sure.....

I have seen 760s sell as low at 6,000 and some at 7000 and 7200. But the best advice I can give you is to sell the 760 and buy a Swedish K . I have a Wilson Tube Swedish K
built with a Port Said Kit. The K's have a lower ROF Fire than the Smith 76 and its more controlleable than my Smith 76 in FA. I can pull singles every time with the K and sometimes with the 76. The K has a lighter trigger than the stiffer 76 and 760's. The K can accept the coffin 50 rounders and the suomi drums.
Shoot a Swed K and I bet you will want one and sell the 760.

One quick thing you can check is the alignment of the magazine well. A buddy of mine had a 760 that wouldn't feed reliably and I noticed that the mag well was canted to the side when it was welded in place, which can't help things. Lay the 760 on a table upside down, resting on the sights, then look along the length of it and see if the mag well is aligned with the pistol grip and 100% vertical.

Airborne, Look at scott andrey`s website. there is a wealth of info on troubleshooting and parts . Its like a book! Unfortunately , After helping guys like us for a long time something happened to him. But he left the website up for us to look at. samachine.com . your mk760 isnt junk . you just havent found the bug yet. With a few spare parts and a little investigation my runs pretty good. Richard with BWE maybe will help. Kenny Pierce

SA advertised two types of MK-760 bolts with different transitions, one straight and the other curved. I picked up a SW76 bolt that has the straight transition that won’t lock all the way into the chamber. Could this be the issue?

That’s a good point, I am not sure....

A question - have you tested another bolt in your gun or had your bolt tested in another gun? I recently purchased a spare bolt (no idea if S&W or MK) and I took the new bolt out to the range. I bought the gun used and had never fired it before. The original bolt seemed to work fine. I swapped out the bolt and the gun would fire but every couple of rounds an empty would get stuck (with the tip of the empty crushed). I swapped the bolt back and the gun ran again. I compared the bolts and the difference seems to be with the extractor length. The bolt that did not work well has an extractor that is slightly shorter than the other. I will get some pictures. I also have several spare extractors that came with the spare bolt along with a set of old instructions about how to fine tune an extractor with a file / vice. I will scan these instructions and post them later this week (am out of town). I may be mistaken but I think that these may have come from Tim Lafrance out of SD, CA. There are receipts from Lafrance included with the parts lot that included the bolt, extractors, etc. At some point would you consider sending out your bolt for testing in another gun and trying another bolt in yours? It may be a quick and easy test to try to get things to work. I will post pics and scans of instructions later this week. Oh, a footnote - the MK that I got uses unmodified Swedish K mags. The mags lock right in and the gun runs fine with them. I've owned several MK and SW guns before and none of them used standard Swed K mags (actually were Suomi stick mags with the loop). I was surprised.
