Hi everyone,
I'm writting to revise some bad information that I mistakenly put out on this forum.

With regard to the warranty on our Vector uzis, I've been informed by Johna( the Vector Front Office Manager ) that the warranty is still one year. The lifetime warranty is supposedly going to apply to the H+K clones that we will be making very soon.

I'm very sorry for giving out the bad information.
Mike

Mike, that's disappointing news but thanks for clearing it up. The Vector Uzi's are great guns and still a great deal with the one year warranty.

As for the HK clone's, I don't have one of your V-53's but I do have a couple of the Special Weapons guns (who will continue to make your receiver's, right?) and have been pleased with them. I've heard nothing but good about the V-53's.

Agreed, great product with excellent customer service. Any bugs should be worked out and resolved in the first year anyway. One of our regulars showed up at the monthly subgun match today with his new Vector sporting the black plastic stock. I'd never seen one in person and it looked great! My wood may have to go...

Another friend received his V53 a month ago and it runs great with his registered sear. When I got some trigger time, I was suprised at the slow and controlable rate of fire. Lot's of flame and noise in the SBR configuration, cool gun.

Thanks for understanding. One thing you'll notice about me is if I make a mistake I'll correct it myself. I put out the bad information and I'll take whatever heat may come. I try to have my facts straight before opening my mouth. This time I screwed up. But I wanted you all to hear it from me.

i think a lifetime warranty is great .. considering the horrible customer service 'OTHER' american made hk clone companies have offered in the recent past .. im SURE vector will stand behind their product as always .. if i EVER got a hk clone .. it would be directly from vector ..

I've got nothing but praise for Vector. Today my gun came home less than one week since I sent it out for repair. I am the second owner of the gun. It was purchased way back in 2000. I had no claim to warranty work. But my gun was repaired at no charge what so ever! The barrel nut catch had been replaced at no charge, 125 rounds fired through the gun to test it at no charge, the folding stock on my gun had a little play and so at my request it was swapped out for one that is perfect at no charge, the rear sight screw on mine was roughed up a bit from sloppy screw driver work (which could have been done by the prior owner) and that was replaced at no charge. And in addition to all the above work, a semi-auto feed ramp was installed for $50, a .22 cal conversion kit was test fired and sent to me with the gun for $250, and a nice Lyttleton bayonet was thrown in for $65. My total bill including shipping was under $395!!!

Vector has my business, thanks to Mike who provided the excellent customer service. I'm getting ready to order a .45 conversion kit; a threaded barrel with flash suppressor; a few more .22 clips; and the list goes on. Thanks again Mike!

Does that mean all v53's have a lifetime warranty or only those after a certain date?

Mad Mike can verify but I believe all the V-53's have a lifetime warranty. They were just released very recently.

Yeah I was just curious if the ones done by Special Weapons were exempt.
