I can weigh a registered mini bolt if you like

Is your registered Mini bolt slotted?

Trilogymac, which bolt weight do you want? Open bolt? Closed bolt? Closed bolt semi or SMG? I can weigh what you want when I get a chance.

Im looking for the weight of an open bolt mini without the slot.
Im going to lighten my full size RR (no slot) bolt Tuesday and Im looking for a target number.
Any pics of a lightened bolt would be helpful as well so Im not reinventing the wheel!

I have already put a buffer in, made a plate to go in front of the buffer so the recoil spring is preloaded and ! counterbored the recoil spring hole 1/2" dia, 1.5 deep and telescoped a semi striker spring over the recoil spring. Runs 1000+ now but looking to go faster. After I lighten the bolt, if its still not as fast as Id like, Im going to look at relocating the sear faces farther back on the bolt and installing a larger buffer.
I miss my micro.

TIA guys.
Bill

Also I think you may find these threads relevant to your interests.....first link also discusses just dropping in a Mini Bolt into a full size receiver.

If you just want a high cyclic rate, have you considered doing a closed bolt setup?
I have some info on that here: http://www.c3junkie.com/?page_id=474

I had clocked my full size Open bolt at 1459 RPM. However, I don't like the recoil impulse on the closed bolt UZI's.

My first reaction was to go closed bolt. I read all the articles and posts I could find. Contacted a number of parts suppliers and no one could/would supply a bolt. If you have a source, please let me know!

A closed bolt is what I really wanted.
Thanks,
Bill
