Ok what did this guy Ciener do?
It appears that Jonathan Arthur Ceiner was not a warm/cordial or customer oriented businessman.
In the days before the internet (and possibly to this day) he ran adds in the backs of all of the gun rags for title II items and rim fire conversions for popular centerfire semi auto handguns th AR 15 and the Ruger AC556/Mini 14.
His mail order business model was simple in that you would send him money (check/money order) with an order form and supposedly you got your goods whenever.
In fact, if you go to his website, and want to order an item you still have to conduct business by mail.
You cannot order directly from his website.
From what I've heard, if you called to follow up on your order or to complain (if you could get him on the phone) he would berate the caller, insult them, hang up and supposedly shuffle the callers order to the bottom of the pile.
He supposedly did business like this for years.
I've also read that when dealing with people he knew personally he was a totally different person.
He has an extremely poor reputation in the firearms business community but that said, the BBB Shows him with A+ rating.
I never did business with him, so I'm only sharing what I've read.
Supposedly here in 2011 he was charged with fraud and theft or something when someone (an LEO I believe) ordered some rim fire conversions and never received them.
I don't know if that story is true but there're a few out there on the web to review.
