ive got one in NFA jail for another 30 days or so...mine is minty with $500 in extras for $8500(i felt i under paid by thousands at the time)

this one comes with lots of mags which are $25-60 each==id say around $500 in mags alone

the last ones i saw sell were an ugly one for $9500 and a decent one at $11k i think.

this one? looks refinished and im not sure if i see a weld or not across it.

these were often police guns. Ive held one, but never shot it. Its very light and that rear sight is a pin hole its so small.

they were also used in vietnam along with the s&w 76

I don't believe it's a curio and relic, most are. Would you have a problem with that? My experience, I've had two C&R's. I still have one. Any further questions PM me.

if its not a C&R then that tells me further it may be a reweld

rare gun...crazy design...im a geek for the odd stuff and thats why i bought one...mine has all the forms that go back to the police dept...the spare parts still wired into the grip from 1952

Garbage MG IMO, I've fired my buddy's PreMay a few times and not impressed. If you have to have one, this one looks like it comes with enough parts and mags to keep you shooting for awhile. Personally I'd pass even if it were documented C&R at 8k. Always seems to be a bunch of PreMays around 5k available too, just not worth it with better options out there.

OP here - thanks for all your replies.

Is the weld mark in picture #9, in the middle of the right side of the receiver, where the color changes from light gray to dark gray?

That would be a deal-killer for me, especially if it makes the gun a non-C&R.

Also, in picture #11, are those markings from the "maker" of the gun (as opposed to an original manufacturer's mark)?

that is what i saw and think it is...i own 1 reweld...i would never buy another

they arent asking a ton for it when you consider all the extras, but i still think its over priced a bit. you would have to ask who is listed as the maker on the form 4. i doubt it says Denmark

forgotten weapons has a nice video on it. Pony tail boy likes the gun. I bought mine just cause it was cheap and another toy to play with.

my dealer has one....i thought it was always just gay sitting on his shelf...i figured it was some 1990's $200 gun.

then i saw the forgotten weapons video and was blown away at the clam shell.had no idea it was from the 1950's. A man being interested in a clam is anything but gay...i had to find one....its probably the most different design there is. most of the advanced collectors i know have one. many of the old timers who have everything(back when they paid $200-500 for a colt thompson). they are rare for sale, but i think not nearly as rare, just not for sale often.

Lee tool has NOS mags for $55 i think...its crazy cool as they are in 5 or 10 packs, all sealed with a really neat denmark label on it...i saved a mag brick intact as a collector. takes a true gun geek to save a brick of mags just for the label(thats me)

I wouldn't have considered one until I shot one and now that I have I'd buy one if the price is reasonable. From my research they seem sturdy enough and while there are not tons of parts available there are some. You definitely need a magazine reloading tool for the magazines.

Not weird at all to have a brick of mags from the factory un opened.

I have a 10 pack of steyr AUG mags like that with all the EU markings from the styer plant.

I thought it was the right way to collect them

Also have a pre ban 94 G17 mag in the original red blister pack bought new in 94 right before the ban.

Once you start collecting firearms it just spreads logically to the other stuff.

Spare parts aren’t that bad. Ive got most of them. Barrels, bolts, etc

You can buy newly made barrels. Ive bought a shorty threaded. Ready for a silencer

Don’t let parts keep you from buying

The only gun with truly hard to find parts for is the Ingram m6.

Great. I've got an M6 in transfer right now.

mags are easy..hope you bought 20 of them. Ive found (2) lowers..one was NOS/flawless...one was on the thompson forum from a guy who thought he found a carnival compressed air thompson part :). another was from networking with a mac friend who found it at one of the large shows. Ive never seen a full kit, ive never seen a barrel...maybe 2 years of looking+. Ive got all the trigger parts and 2 spare stocks..maybe 25 magazines. congrats on the M6. I enjoy that gun very much
