I requested that Todd repair the second video in auto mode only, this way both video's can be veiwed in proper sequence and in their entirety. Just for the record, I was running Remington green box but I can produce the same results with any other brand of factory ammo. As I've stated in the past, I use the green box in order to reduce the contact of the bolt at the back of the lower reciever. In other words, the gun runs just as fast, minus the internal contact of the bolt, which ultimately makes for a smoother running subgun.

*Update, links fixed, sorry about that.

I guess I am confused I bought a Full auto to throw Bullets down range more than one at a time why would I need to pull off single shots I thought that is what the selector is for.... (Just kidding around) Nice shooting most impressive.

He's on the list!:lol

Just playing Macaholic.

I've always disagreed with Macaholic about the improvements he refuses to do to his Mac but I'm still impressed with his ability to pull singles and doubles.

Now just imagine what he could do with a Lage on that bad boy!

Ammunition that does not cause the bolt to "bottom out" on its rearward most movement will not cycle the firearm as fast as ammunition that does cause the bolt to bottom out. The bolt bouncing off of the buffer as it compresses against the back plate will increase the cyclic rate. Use a timer to check your rate of fire with the different types of ammo and I believe you will be surprised.

That's what I told him. He should Chrono it. There will probably be a difference in ROF. Anyhow when Mac and I were talking about this, he stated that the bolt does make contact with the back of the receiver with the green box, but it doesn't slam it as hard, reducing stress on the gun, and making it run smoother. But it really doesn't matter. I've seem him pull singles and doubles using Wolf and Fiocchi. It's really not that hard to do.

I don't doubt that and that is very good trigger control. I agree the green box creates less stress on the receiver, but I believe the harder the bolt strikes the back plate the faster it bounces off creating a higher cyclic rate.

Lets not leave out recoil.

I can pull singles on 22lr kits that have a higher rate of fire than 9mm setup. The same gun in 9mm I have trouble pulling consistant doubles.

+1

Recoil and/or the amount of pressure the bolt exerts on sear because of bolt weight and the recoil spring. I do find it much easier to fire singles with a 22 kit that fires/cycles faster than I can single with a 9.
