I just sent the check for a MAC-10 .45 caliber. Now starts the wait. I also have a M11/.380 pending. Along with my M11/9 and that completes the trifecta. I'm done. Maybe. I never dealt with him but, yeah, I bought it from Ruben.

Congrats! M-10/9 next? My trust has m-10/9 and is pending transfer on a m-11 and m-10 (.45). I need to add a m11/9 to complete the collection. They are fun guns to shoot!

Thanks and yes they are fun to shoot. The only one of the three I have in my possession is the M11/9. I have a MAX-31 Lage upper with a YHM Wraith suppressor on it and I highly recommend the MAX-31 and the YHM can as well. It's a relatively cheap way to have fun. You definitely need to get an M11/9.

You're done? You don't believe that anymore than the rest of us, now do you?

You'll love the M-10/45! I hope the wait goes quick for you.

I said maybe. :) Both dealers use eForms and I'm transferring to my trust so hopefully the wait will be a bit shorter.

Ruben was great. Very responsive and when I told him I wanted the gun, he immediately said he would take it down from his site and mark it sold.

Vegas,

Pardon my ignorance (at least I'm man enough to admit it) but what exactly does "double stamp" mean?

I know you'll enjoy owning the trifecta as much as I do.
So is that a PS/RPB double stamped gun?

I doubt if that is a double-stamp MAC. Original PS MACs usually have the barrel retaing pin on top, visible when assembled, RPB usually has them on the bottom of the barrel not visible when the gun is assembled.
I say USUALLY because if I use ALWAYS someone will prove me wrong.

Vegas,

It means it is marked ps on the right (see pic) and rpb on the other side.

I think rape pillage and burn took ps registered guns from bankruptcy and built them up.

Military Armament Corporation (MAC), based in Powder Springs Georgia from 1970-1976 was the first company to commercially produce the MAC Model 10 (MAC-10).This is the company started by Gordon Ingram that designed and built the first MAC (now you know where the name came from). MAC marketed a number of different weapons, but the MAC-10 (chambered in 9 mm and later in.45 ACP) and the high cyclic rate (approx. 1600 rpm) MAC-11 (chambered in .380) were its mainstays. MAC declared bankruptcy in 1976 and went out of business. A number of factors led to their demise, but the big reason was that little or no military interest in the MAC was generated. MAC sold its tooling and assets (registered and unregistered frames, and parts) to another Georgia-based company called RPB in 1977.

A wise man never says never... ;)
My double stamp comment was based on a couple of other items, but the photo may not show them well.

The take down pin looks "weird". Perhaps it's the photo, but it looks too slightly too large to be an original one piece pin. It's almost like it has a small button head, but I'm too lazy to dig mine out to compare. Along that same line, I'd think the take down pin release lever and clearance slot should be visible in the photo but perhaps the angle isn't right.

MDG; it's certainly no sin to not have all the answers. A double stamp gun will have the exact same roll mark on the right side of the lower receiver as your original photo, but there will be an additional roll mark on the opposite side of the gun's frame which reads;
RPB Industries Inc.
Atlanta, GA U.S.A.

If you don't already own a copy of Frank's excellent book, The MAC Man, I'd highly recommend purchasing one. It's very short money for the definitive book of all things "MAC" and it contains a ton of great information and photographs. We owe him a huge debt of gratitude for his work in compiling this information and are very fortunate to have him, (and several other RKIs), here on this forum.

I actually received that book as a Christmas present. BTW, there is no such stamp on the other side.

He better be at those prices!

No flame but I'd rather buy from a dealer and spend few extra bucks than to send thousands of dollars to an individual I don't know. Plus you don't have to pay for two transfers. I've been burned before for much less than this gun costs and it hurts.

I was considering a gun from Ruben (before I found one in state) and I was impressed with his responsiveness.
