I was told that if you use the double mag catch (like the one cobray sells to allow the use of both modified and unmodified grease gun magazines in your Mac 10/45) that it would work perfect with the double feed 9mm conversion adapter. I don't know if this is true but I've heard it from a couple different sources, Great video nayo thanks for your help, Very educational...

I don't have the Lage 9mm (I've got the Lage MAX10-45), but I do have a couple of conversion kits for changing the standard M10/45 to shoot 9mm.

All you need to convert a Max-10 45 or visa versa is a bolt and barrel. Change the barrel and insert the new bolt with weight attached.

nayo,
That was a great video of you shooting the SMG match, looked like you never missed. As to the issue of the 45 mag catch, I can't understand why anyone would say it would work with the 9mm Walther mags. I can only guess someone used the dual 45 modified/unmodified catch and thought it was the standard catch. When I went with the 9mm conversion about 10 years ago it was common knowledge that you had to buy a 9mm mag catch.
Funny how things get twisted over the years.
I also watched your video of how you modify the Soumi mags and have to tell you that mod is way, way, way over my skill level. Sadly I only have 3 Walther mags but at over 100.00 each I don't think I will be getting anymore.
I don't have the Lage upper but wish I did.

Nayo,

Regarding the mag' catch and 9mm magazines:

Does your M-10/45 Grip with with thumb mag' release have the mag' catch with dual notches? If you have an early one I made, it may not.

I checked my 9mm conversion yesterday and both single feed Zytels and dual feed National magazines lock up at the correct height. If you would like me to, I can send you a free, current production mag' catch to try out.

Hi Richard
Yes the mag catch has the dual notches with a little work I did get it to work with the gg mags and the Walther mags but I was never able to get it to run 100%. It appears to me that the top notch that should work with the 9mm mags just barely catch's the back of the mag allowing it to wiggle around causing it to get a occasional hickup I think this might be the reason people have said there conversions dont often work 100% couple of people at UT6 was a little surprised that mine ran that good with the conversion. The standard mag catch makes good contact with the mag and holds it real tight it has run 100% percent for me.
Richard I dont know if you have any Walther mags but I can loan you one of mine if you want to try it out maybe you will have better luck with the dual mag catch then I did. Let me know if you would like me to send you one. And thank you for the offer of the replacment mag catch what I have has been working 100% for me so I think I will stick with it but thanks for the offer

Thanks man I appreciate this more that you know I went today and finally got to see the Mac in question and hammering out the detail on the sale. I got to look it over for quite a long time and disassemble it and stuff I see the rave over these weapons they are a well made but simple piece. I can see how they could be a very dangerous weapon to the shooter. The fixed stock and a barrel extension to me is not a option but a necessity for safety the 45 is pretty powerful and one slip could make a bad day at the range.

Looking forward to the video and I really enjoyed the match video.
thanks Gorilla
A bad day could be the result of a random run away. It's not too late to rethink what you are plannig on doing to that highly prized Powder Springs model-10. There is nothing at all dangerous about these guns in factory configuration. As a matter of fact, the only time I've ever seen any dangerous things happen such as, the ever famous random runaway, was after some unlearned individual got done mokeying around with one. I don't mean to rain on your parade, just trying to give some good advice.
