I just got a M79 grenade launcher and I am looking for some parts plus a strap and cleaning kits. Does anyone know of a web site I might check out? I have already been to Numrich.

Plus reloadableshells.com has some great stuff. I love their 40mm cannon rounds. I put 50 buckshot pellets (12x00 and 36x#4) with 18 grains of powder = lots of fun :)

WOW tell me more..Do you use their case? What kind of powder?

Let me see if I can explain it properly :)
It's a reloadable "insert" round? Looks like a long 40mm round, with a detachable base. You load a pistol primer in the base, load your powder (pistol powder, as it's basically a short bbl. 18 grains is about safe-max for M203s, but M79s can handle more) put in a burst disk, screw in the cap. Screw the base and bbl part together. Load payload into a wad (think large shotgun) put load in bbl and cap it. Load it into the launcher and fire.
He also has low pressure projectiles (fused and un-fused) for the do-it yourself payload mix (like smoke etc). I haven't tried those yet, but the cannon rounds for high pressure buckshot and flechettes loads work great!!
On a slightly side note, I believe Scott is awaiting some approval to make new beehive style rounds, but not just .22LR. I believe he was looking into multiple .410 rounds and combo rounds (different cal in the same round)
Check out Grogs' sight. He has reviews of the cannon rounds and some info on the new beehive rounds, It's a pretty slow forum, but there's good info there.

Thanks, Super Dak, I got a chance yesterday to shoot the launcher and I was very impressed. I was able to hit a small car sized target consistently at 150 meters, with chalk rounds. I can't wait to try the cannon rounds. Does the site have loading data for various pistol powders? Or do I check out Grogs? I am also looking to purchase a number of chalk rounds, so if you know of any please PM me.

For load info, try Grog's forums. Scott posts there also, and he gets allot of feedback from customers so he can help out too.
For 40mm practice/chalk rounds, try CDVS (Combat Disabled Veterans Surplus) at
http://www.cdvs.us . They were previously Big Sky Surplus. Seems to have good prices still (25 rd crate for $150). I have ordered from them, and they delivered to the AZ SAR show to save me shipping. Plus they have other rounds (like white star para rds for $29)
I've also seen Frank Geopfert has been selling a lot on Gun Broker, as auctions.

How do 40mm rounds fit into "DD's"? Do you have to register each with atf,& pay $200/each?

The launcher is the DD. The rounds are just rounds. I'm not sure about HE rounds, never seen one for sale. But they don't have a S/N, just a lot number, so I don't "think" they would be registered the same. But then you would have to have an approved storage magazine and I'd assume an explosives license. I don't think I'd want to deal with all that. I did munitions for 20 years in the military, and setting up a munitions storage area and dealing with the K-factors and all the different distances (inhabited building, intra-magazine, etc) and regs plus inspections is a PITA! But that's just MHO :)

This place has some stuff for 40mm, even has M79 receivers.
I am not sure but I think he use to make the 37mm barrel to use on M79.
http://www.mr40mm.com/products

I don't "think" Randy does much 40mm stuff any more. I haven't seen any new items, new stock, or even updates to his page in a long time. I think he's just been selling off what stuff he still has leftover (notice almost everything on his site says out of stock or out of production, except the receivers he still has left). I might be wrong, but I check his site occasionally, and it hasn't changed in years :)

Another vote for reloadableshells.com and grogs site.

I'e bought a lot of 26.5mm shells from there for my F1 RV-85. Grog's may be a bit slower with traffic but the board is a wealth of info for reloading DD's.

Also check out the book " BEYOND PEPPER SPRAY" by Micheal E. Conti it has a whole boat load of info, cutaways of projectiles, launchers types, everything from non lethal shotguns up to the big boy DD stuff, just scale to the size of your launcher when reloading.
About all it doesn't cover is the HE stuff.
