I think there’s some fishy stuff going on with some of these funbroker sales (Maybe laundering money or something akin to that).
I really hope that’s not the case because we don’t need MG’s in the news as most politicians don’t even realize they can be legally owned by citizens.

please explain HOW you could launder money thru any NFA sale on GB with GB collecting sales tax and a buyers fee, unless GB was in on it :bang ......insert the " thats not how this works" meme with the 2 old ladies here :)

And this one. Not Keystone but look at the price.

https://www.gunbroker.com/item/927392236
Collectors pay really big bucks for vintage, matching number silencers especially with the rubber or Nomex covers. The gun is an early Powder Springs M.A.C. gun. Plus, the gun and silencer are in very nice condition. All adds up to a premium price that a collector would spring for.

MHO, YMMV, etc.

Ok so with money laundering, there may be no item at all and these are just pictures. These illegal money folks have lots of hot cash that they then use various kinds of money mules to make legitimate. If your account buys it from your keystone account then you've just created a legitimate sale. I doubt this as they have so many title 1 auctions and it'd be easy to catch the paper trail.

Between Keystone and Sienna there is always this thread every few months and it always goes round and round. I can say first hand that both of those people have sold MG's for me and were very professional. Got top dollar for everything and I would do business with them again anytime. I am not talking like one or two transactions either but pallets of stuff.

I talk to them often and they have a very loyal repeat customer basis with a lot of people being gun shops or dealers.

That one is a perfect candidate to go to PS for an Uzi grip conversion.

I can't believe the market would ever get to the point where I could acknowledge that $6k is a killer price for an Mac.

That price data point will probably keep a few people who are in the market and saw it...from going ahead and buying at true market price, because they'll chase another deal like it...all the while the market will continue to go up and they'll pay more in the end -or- the market will price them completely out.

Today's weekly Midewest Tactical newsletter contained:
o NIB Powder Springs MAC10 ready to E-file $8,995
o RPB M11 .380 $7,995
o RPB M10 9mm $7,995
o "Beautiful" M10 9mm $8,495
o NIB M10 9mm $10,500
o M11 9mm + can $8,995
o M11 9mm + can + Lage $10,500

So, I would say market is firmly <10K

I know how money laundering works, I was asking someone to explain how you think it could work with GB, in reality your be a pretty poor launderer if you paid them the 6-8% sales tax plus the 1% buyers premium....and yes the paper trail, someone has to do the paperwork for the gun....people usually wash money for other money not long term assets that are hard as hell to transfer like mg's

Recent sales of M16A1's on Gunbroker show prices of $33k-$38K. Nothing super rare about these, and these prices are at a minimum $9K above 2015 FMV.

It’s possible the seller has it pre sold to someone they are close with then just have staff or people to bid it insanely high so they look like a great company to sell your stuff with. In that scenario they would just mark sold and not relist it while telling Gunbroker they did not receive payment. No money laundering or anything or anything complicated. Just a business that wants to look great to attract customers so they sell items with them.

While I don't think we will return to machine gun prices from 15-20 years ago, I think the current market is unsustainable and overinflated.

I disagree, but I do understand your thinking. I've owned NFA items for 34 years now. There were a couple of times along the way that I thought prices couldn't go any higher, and I was wrong each time. I don't think that way anymore.

MACs are generally entry level MG's. I bought my first MAC for $450, NIB in 1988. At that time, it was not a whole lot of money, but with the $200 tax, it was more than I usually spent on other firearms. Obviously, the perspective and dollar amounts have changed today.

I think there will be plenty of folks who spend $15K on MACs when they get to that price, probably in the next few years, especially as more Lage products become available. I don't think they will stay sub-$10K for long.

This is all my own opinion, and yours may vary.

And steak is selling for $50/lb at my local market. Anything is fair game in this environment. Our dollar is imploding.

Agree. So what will the new starter guns be? Rieslings, spitfires, and tube guns?

I was the buyer of the RPB M11 380 and feel it was a decent price.

I need to get on the list for a Lage upper next.

I almost bought that one. My dealer didn’t respond in time about the f3/f4 transfer.

Good looking gun for the money
