Weapon runs fine, but the trigger pull is so loooong and a tad stiff. Is there a kit\parts available or "how to fix it" thread out there to get it shortened up and a little more user friendly?

Thanks!

Check out Lage Mfg. They sell two types of replacement trigger kits. They are well worth the money.

Take the upper off and look at the fire control group. Sometimes the retention spring-wire can get bent during a remove-replace of the upper and make things stiff that shouldn't be. It happened to me once, and gave me the excuse to completely disassemble the FCG for the first time. I was able to bend the spring-wire back into proper form, though now I have a couple of extra in my collection of spare parts.

If everything is proper in yours, then one of the LAGE kits is the way to go, other than disassembly and doing a gunsmithing trigger job on mating surfaces like you'd do with any gun.

Great! I will look into the Lage trigger set ups. (I need to buy a speedbolt anyways.) :banana
And check the retention spring as well.*
Any opinions on the select vs auto trigger? In doing some light reading, it seems like auto trigger overcomes the most issues, but at the cost of losing semi auto.

What say you?

It's a machine gun so I never use semi ;)

I am usually of the same thought process as well. However, I do like the option of letting new users fire it in semi auto mode first. Other than that.........yea....it stays in FA. :mg

I usually just start with 1-3 rounds in the mags. This also gives them the chance to begin forming the habit of locking the bolt back.

I put a round 5' in front of the bench. That taught me to lock the bolt back before removing the mag. LOL

I had a similar instance after I got my first smg M11, though at least it was pointed fully downrange towards the berm. It only has to happen once and you'll never make the same mistake again!

Yea, that was one of the first things I concentrated on when I bought the UZI. Bolt back first.

I may have to check in on this... the local Fudd Club I belong to allows me to use my NFA stuff... On semi only. Only the Mac type guns may double in semi. Never have these issues with ARs, AKs or the HK lines. Semi is semi... Unless I use one of the Macs.
