Changed out my buffer to a new black urethane ultra bumper from FTF industries. It seems rather hard and jarring with little to no springiness or cushion feel to it. Which got me thinking… what buffer do you guys run and why? This is being used with an oem bolt. I see they have a clear neoprene as well… is that what I should seek for a factory full speed oem full auto upper? I sure don’t want to blow out my back welds.

Thanks!

My M10 came with a black buffer of some sort.

After a few thousand rounds I got a 3 pack of a similar type from either FTF or Practical Solutions.
They are pretty firm but thicker than the first one.

I also have a few of the yellowish clear poly ones too but haven't used them.

I don't think it matters as long as one is there. I've heard of people making them from computer mouse pads but don't think I'd do that.

Your name says it all, Use a Mac-Jac as your buffer!

I use the Lage part but they don't last forever either. Poacher is right, any medium durometer rubber will work.

I’ve used ftf buffers. They worked well.
As long as the buffer is softer than the metal, I would think it will help. I’ve never messed with any others.
