We have finished 3-D printing the MAX-11/15 prototype. Shown here with a 10-1/2" barrel.

it all looks great...i still dont like the GI butt stock...it may look ok with the M16 upper....but in my opinion wont look good with with any other Mac upper....

i still think it needs its own stock with will look correct with any of the uppers...

when the AR stock is used with any other upper it looks like a frankingun

i guess i just like the look of my lage folding stock too much..i think the Mac needs its own AR stock.....but i know the purpose of this project isnt to make as many customized pieces as possible...the purpose is to reuse existing products to keep costs down....

when offered for the Mac 10 i will be in line for one of these great uppers and ill find a stock that looks right or carve my own out of a 2x4

Top rail aligned.. looking good- we all know I'm just going to take it apart and make it look like something else anyway!

Can't wait for the M10/16 version.

Thanks Richard. It does not disappoint.

If anything, makes me double down on my saving up for it.

^I'm not particularly fond of Troy inc., but they do have an ambi mag release that would probably be ideal to use because of the extra reach on the upper. Let's you disengage the mag release with your left hand thumb if it's wrapped around the magwell.

Looks really good.

With no bolt hold open or F/A I don't think it'll sell though.... :silly

Once you get a prototype running you should run it with a can and get some good high speed video to see where it likes to dump gas out. That way you will be able to preemptively vent/close off any areas that would make it unusable suppressed.

Nothing better than a face full of smoke and black crap!

I would definitely like to see it run with an AA piston kit too. Cleaning that thing is going to be a pain in the rear as a DI gun.

This may sound stupid but would it be crazy to try and cause an OOB intentionally to see what a catastrophic malfunction looks like? ARs have been proven to be pretty safe in the event of a kaboom but this isn't exactly the same design.

Nicely done!

It looks like AR caliber swaps would be pretty simple as well... Bolt, adjustable gas block and barrel chambered in your favorite round and good to go ;) How is the firing pin fixed in the bolt? This just screams for 300 blackout and an 8 inch barrel.

The firing pin is held forward by the sear catch plate that attaches to the bottom of the bolt carrier.

Yes, we plan on doing some destructive testing.

It will be compatible with Adams Arms Piston kits.

The 3D printed prototype in the picture does have an ambi mag' release. I have a Troy as well, but it was interfering with a Beta Mag' I inserted into the mag' well.
