Apparently the posts got nuked in the WTS thread?
The "seller" has not replied to messages and did not reply in their own WTS post.
Not sure how you sell something if you don't post any contact info?
Maybe as a PSA this post will survive?
Cases look interesting as novelty items. Not sure what they're supposed to represent?

No chit chat in the sales or wanted to buy forums.
Could be why you got no response from seller.
And def. why your posts got nuked.
This is the proper place to talk about those cases.

I was hoping they were operational briefcases when I saw the ad.

They looked pretty cool. I’ve thought about buying an old briefcase off EBay and doing similar, though I’m sure my execution would be much worse.

Sounds very counter intuitive. I've had mods nuke posts I've made on ads inquiring about additional info on the item for sale. even a simple request like a photo or born on date for a eotech gets nuked. Seller lost the sale.

Sure to that type of hostility to the seller and the potential buyer I do not buy it sell in uzitalk. It's just not worth my time or hassle to play those types of games.

Not my rules but it's pretty much been that way since I joined in 03.
Discussions are supposed to go to PM or another thread started like this one.
I'm sure a mod or the owner can clarify why they have the rule I'm just a user of the forums.

Well, glad to know I'm not alone... Hopefully these posts won't get nuked???

Anyways... Perhaps the seller has had an emergency come up? If he ever resurfaces, he might get a sale or two? I was certainly seriously interested.

Pretty sure the forum poped up in 2002 I was a bit late finding it.
Rover Dave would have to confirm.

Funny part was my friend & fellow member Kramer told me about it.
He wouldn't join until 08.

I don't mind the no discussion stuff in the FS sections.
Keeps me from having to read 15+ off topic posts just to find out it is sold.
I've had zero problems buying or selling on this forum as my feedback shows.
Anywho could always ask a mod to change policy if it doesn't fit your selling or buying style.

Not worth my time to even bother talking anyone about it. I just won't send people here to buy things and will not buy/sell here.

I think the Mac cases are in need of a serious update. I think it would be nice to see someone make sumtin newish.

Most everybody these days uses a leather briefcase that opens from the top. You can still get an old fashioned type but it stands out more than they used to.

Those Samsonite Classic 100 briefcases are plentiful. They must have made a million of them. I used one for an UZI case years ago; it's a fun retro look.

I don't think anyone uses briefcases anymore, do they? Doesn't everyone use black nylon zippered bags that they sling over their shoulder? At least that's all I see attorneys carry around the courthouses everywhere. I have a bunch of leather briefcases for my subguns...but I bought most of them all at least 25+ years ago. Hey! I'm a dinosaur and proud of it!
Funny that one WTS ad has started all this discussion...and the OP has never been heard from again.....

Leather covered hard briefcases are out of style, the new leather ones are basically a large soft sided purse or messenger bag. Nylon is popular too, similar design.

I still think a fiddle, messenger, tool case. beverage cooler, hydration backpack or racket ball racket case would still fit in. What do people carry these days? A fake arm like the secret service?

Whatever it is, there should not be a desirable object inside. Maybe something like this that looks like an electrical parts bin. No one would want to steal a cheap small parts bin.

Slim I think you're into something there!
I like the look of that bag.
While the Samsonite look that predicated this discussion is def fun, cool, and "retro", I can see possibilities with such a bag. I see a trip to my local Micro Center in my future. LOL While I love the leather look, it's a bit fancy. Strobo has a great point. If it LOOKS expensive/desirable it might defeat the purpose.
In the old days, no one would look twice at a briefcase. Handcuff it to your wrist and watch the stares.

Milwaukee, Makita, Dewalt, etc. make carrying cases that might work, depending on setting. They’d checkout regarding handling characteristics (i.e. you’d expect them to hold something heavy).
