What's the quick info on what can be owned in California? I know mag limit is 10 and no assault rifles including AR15's. What about M1A's M1 garands and M1 carbines with 10 round mags? Are mini 14's ok? Can I take my handguns into California from out of state? How about tactical shotguns like beneli's? No SPAS, LAWS what else? Just wondering I got a job offer there and I turned it down, I think most of my guns would be illegal there. Oh yeah can you get a CCW there or not? Sorry ment to put this in general discussion.

Springfield Armory M1A's are fine as long as they have the muzzle brake and no bayonet lug. M1 Garands and M1 Carbines are fine, as are Mini-14's as long as they aren't the GB model.

If I were stuck behind enemy lines in the People's Republik of Kalifornistan, I'd get a Springfield M1A Scout and a shit load of 10 round mags.

I wouldn't move to Kailfornia even if Angelina Jolie offered to sit on my face every night.

I think there's a FAQ on the Kali DOJ web page. The big risk you run in to with these guys is that even if it is legal for you to take in now, it may not be legal next year.

I went through that, and that's one of the reasons why I got the hell out.
