Anybody been following the Loma Six belt fed AR upper?

It looks pretty nifty, and works with FA as well as FRT. They have youtube videos as well. $3k for the upper, and $2k for the kit if you want to provide barrel, handguard and a couple other odds and ends.

I've been following closely after Alaskashooter turned me onto it. I've been wanting a beltfed 5.56 for years but could never bring myself to pony up the cash for a shrike or a MM23e. The lima six with a 20" Hbar barrel looks like it may be the cat's pajamas

I am very intrigued by it.

I’ve been tempted to get an MCR in the past, but I have a lot of doubts as to how long the novelty would last for me. I could see messing with links becoming a PITA pretty quickly when you can achieve nearly the same experience with drums.

The biggest issue I see with the Lima six, would be it is a gas gun as well as non interchangeable barrels. Which together means no hard use. But for the price you have to give up something.
I dont see the inability to use regular magazines as an issue.
It is a reasonable price point.
It has a longer bolt stroke then a standard AR as well

I my mind decent barrels for the AR are so cheap that who cares if you burn one up dumping belts. I've run my 11.5 DD barrel so hot on my M16 that It started burning the caked-on carbon in the suppressor. Still shoots excellent groups to my surprise

The Shrike with SS is now the one gun that always comes out to the range. Belts are much more fun than mags or drums.

The fixed barrel on the L6 isn’t that much of a downside. I carry spare barrels for the Shrike but usually don’t end up swapping barrels

They are no longer adding to the wait list. This with a SS will be something to smile about. Looking forward to seeing it come to fruition and start shipping.

Hey guys, let me know if you have any questions! I'm an M11/9 owner so very familiar with this site. Thanks for the mention! -Harvey
Good to have you here! I do have a couple questions. I did see somewhere, that you were partnering with Primary Arms for this. Are they merely the distributor? And will the people on the waitlist (me) be buying from your company, or from PA?
I am assuming this is a serial numbered part as well that will be legally (or rather in the ATF's eyes) a gun? So transfer to dealer and what.

I have no affiliation with Primary Arms. I am however working with KAK Industry who is making the bolt carrier groups and a few other parts. But that is the extent of the relationship; I am still the owner and everything will ship from my facility.

The upper is not a serialized part and will ship to your door (assuming it's legal in your state).

Yeah, I probably started this in the wrong area. For dome reason it seemed fine at the time.

They are still in pre production. I think I had seen him mention september or october as the release date. Dont quote me though.

Sorry guys, I need to figure out how to turn on email notifications for this thread!

There are currently 10 beta test units in production which are just a few weeks out. We are hoping for a quick, successful beta test, and then production starts in September. By the way, here is some footage from last weekends shoot:
