Ive had one for about 7 years now and easily over 50,000 rounds through it on 5-6 hosts. Also probably cut out 40 or so lowers for people and built hosts for them.
Have 4 in the shop right now to fix from people sending them to "Gunsmiths" and ruining the links. Once those are done I have another 10 or so hosts to go through for the owners.

Love the LL and want to get one some day. Do you guys have a bolt carrier for each host or do you swap them around?

I do. But I do it all myself. So if anything gets screwed up, I have no one to blame but me.

I've owned 2 RLLs for about 8 yrs. Sold one last year, kept one. Always rock solid in my colt le6920 or whatever it is - machined carrier and rear pocket by M60Joe for KNS+RLL. Get several different paddles- pro tip. A professionally set up RLL + Host is super easy. I've screwed around a bit with milling my own pockets and carriers for my other hosts- not terribly difficult. I have several cut for RLL. But I still seem to always just use the M60 Joe one.

I didnt bother with semi kit. FA only. Fine with me.

I have broken a RLL ear using it in a custom cut FM-9 beltfed. FYI. M60Joe welded it back up for a few hundred bucks and then good to go.

My main reason for buying RLL over RDIAS is simple. RLL is half the cost...$15k vs. $30k. Period. And they accomplish the same thing more or less...as in 90%+....and I dont give a rip about running other cals like 22lr.

In short I feel RLLs are a great alt. to a $30k+ RDIAS. Ive been happy with mine.
