Largest MAC Collection ? in US

I have been repairing Mac style firearms for 30+ yrs. Have many TX Mac parts, was west coast repair center for TX Mac, Also did warranty work for SWD & Cobray. Fit I do not have the, most parts we can make.
I have large collection of Ingram styled pistols and sub-machine guns. These weapons are used as a reference liberty to answer questions and to obtain data to repair your equipment as required.
Can and wiling to give aid on closed bolt & open bolt guns and part interchange.

Yes, I do go back a few days, was a partner of Mr. Ingram. Have a few prototypes pistol ( working models) as well as parts and drawing that are used to repair Ingram designed and clones of that firearm.

Back plates I have,....... Have material and data going back to ser# oo1, 002, & 003.
Tested fired 001 in country, made a point to work with Mr. Ingram.
In hind site, the gun was the right weapon at the wrong time in history.

M11 can be used any time a compact firearm may be needed. Most cases it is a backup weapon, when carrying a shoulder fired weapon.
M11 Could be fitted in a brief case with a silencer for up close & personal work.
The folding stock was designed for shoulder firing the SMG from the shoulder, Not a good ideal, using as a forearm brace was the best of the bad ideals.
The service life of the M11 in combat conditions was 3000 full auto rounds. How ever this firearm was never officially used by the U.S. in such conditions.
** It should be noted the M10 was designed to be a throw away weapon.
it's purpose was to be aimed in the direction of the enemy and fired to keep their heads down, while you ran for cover away from the enemy. Then being a heavy weapon and not having a great range or being very accurate , the SMG was thrown away if necessary. to allow the driver or operator to get away with his life.
** The fact that the M10 & M11 have found other uses makes it one of the most convent weapons wanted by many shooters for many reasons

As a relatively new (10 years) participant in the NFA and MAC world I sincerely appreciate your willingness to volunteer information and background that will be useful to the entire MAC "community". Since we are now 35 years past the manufacture of the last transferables the knowledge base from the first person perspectives are disappearing by the year.

As for the Ingram M1 and M11 submachine guns being "the right weapon at the wrong time in history"; that is a characterization that they share with the Thompson Model 1921 submachine gun. Even down to their use by gangsters and outlaws, and popularization in films and television. Admittedly, the Thompson was also used by some LEOs, while very few Ingrams found such use as tax payer dollars funded modern LEOs with more sophisticated weaponry; and by the mid-1970s, full auto firearms in the hands of LEOs was already being decried by "concerned citizens".

I read somewhere he and Jim McCloud purchased multiple pallets from the SWD bankruptcy auction & I think
Jim sold most of his off over the years...
