Looking to see what drum mags and larger mags folks have tested with for those with the versa modules for g17. I will be getting the versa 11 but feedback for the others could be beneficial for others.

I see Lage site mentions "Also works with 50 round drum magazines with the tall magazine tower. It will not work with the shorter carbine magazine tower"
That being said anyone test the following:
  1. Beta C Mag (I saw a video looked perfect)
  2. Promag 50 round
  3. PMag D-50
  4. RWB 50 Rd
  5. RWB 100 Rd
  6. KCI 50 Rd
Any other ones I'm missing feel free to chime in.
Once I get mine I plan to use my regular size glock magazine, glock 33rd, glock with kriss vector extensions, and my 33rd with the TT extensions.

I'm looking to take advantage of black Friday and Christmas deals when the time comes and also want to get something that works.

I would take KCI 50s and 100s over Promag and Magpul just for the steel-lined polymer body. Also KCI stuff works.

I had very bad luck with RWB drums and mags. Lots of bad reviews out there. If you buy the RWB 9mm 100, please do a review.

We have tested the Promag 50 round and PMag D-50 and have not had a single problem.

The PMag is easier to load due to the lever on the drum, the Promag has a big ass knob that is awkward to use.

I've got three ProMag drums: Glock tower, 50 round, 9mm; 1911 tower and Thompson tower, 40 round, .45 ACP. For each of them I use a 5 in. rubber "oil filter" wrench (about $12) to wind the drums for easy, simple loading. Position the wrench loop over the big ass knob. Crank the rotor about a quarter turn and hold the arm of the wrench against the tower with one hand, drop three to five rounds down the tower with the other hand. Repeat till the drum is full. Easier to do than to describe.

MHO, YMMV, etc.
