I know serveral people have them and I see them talked about all over th eplace but I have not seen a full review. Can someone share a link if I just missed them?

If they are not out there, what are the experiences?

What are the great points, how well do they function, any unique problems with the design compared to the standard buzz say M11/9?

I assume M11/9 mags that work at about 1100 RPM work fine at half speed?

I have been waiting to see some feedback before investing in one of these uppers and I decided it is time for me to order one but I want to to see what peope have to say and I assume no bad news is good news.

I really don't like shooting my factory M11/9 as most of my shooting is indoors and that little gun is just too fast for me.

EDIT:

OK, my search foo is bad:

Here's a review for you....
I just got mine, and tried it for the first time yesterday.
It's everything they say it is....Good quality, excellent packaging and fast shipping.
It makes the gun much heavier than stock, but not more than a full size Uzi.
The only weakness are the mags. And that's no fault of Lage.

After you shoot the stock gun, shooting it with the Max-11 upper almost seems too slow!

The investment in a Lage upper for your m11 is a no brainer.
I have shot 2,000+ rounds thru mine with no problems. I am using
Zytel mags purchased from Cobray. I have some mounted with steel
feed lips which work fine in my other M11's but not the Lage ?
The control is incredible- on par with an HK. I occassionaly shoot my
stock m11 just to spray bullets with reckless abandon.
Be sure to get the broom handle option.
Only negitive is the added weight.

Let me just say that I love mine. Very well built. Runs like a champ. Very easy to pull doubles and I should be able to get singles with just a bit of practice.

I have a sidecocking upper that I bought from another company that wont run worth a damn. The Lage upper is the complete opposite side of the coin.

I honestly don't even see me having a need to ever run the stock upper again.

Buy the Lage, you wont regret it.

Thanks for the advise and I am officially #104

Should have it in about 12 to 14 weeks according to the big man!

I am anxious given the reviews and video clips I was able to find.

You will not be disappointed.Richard builds an excellant product-well worth the wait.Pulling singles is super easy, and the rate of fire is somewhat close to my UZI.

Buy It

I have a Lage Max-11 early model and I have run over 1,400 rounds through it, no jams or missfires. Cycles with or without suppressor. I don't know Richard personally, but he has took time to answer all of my e-mails, and I have asked some complicated questions about the Max before I bought it. All of his answers were honest with NO bull added. He has a hell of a mind when it comes to firearms.

If everyone who purchased a Lage SF Upper replied here, I do not think that there would be one(1) negative response stating that "they were sorry for the purchase."

Great customer service and communication. I will take the Lage Upper over any other upper for the M11 on the market:gym

Broken record...

I can't say enough positive things about Mr. Lage and his upper. I would never have bought this MG if not for a the Lage upper. (please don't flame me macaholic!) :)

Beautiful craftsmanship, innovation up the wazoo, and customer service that can't be beat. Great combo!

You will not regret the decision to buy a Max-11 upper. Now that you have made that decision you need to start thinking about the options and accessories you want. Do you want a flat top only or flat top with iron sights? Which forend do you want…???

I own two Max-11s and my son owns one. Of the three, two worked flawlessly from the moment they were installed. My very first one had failures to eject and some feeding problems.

The failures to eject turned out to be a flawed extractor. This was through no fault of Richards as he purchased the bolts complete. Even though it was not his fault he replaced the extractor with one of his design, which is now standard on the Max-11.

The failure to feed turned out to be the height/angle of the feed ramp. Richard told me how to correct that. Since then I have a few thousand rounds through that gun and it is one of the most reliable guns I own. Another reliable gun I own is my other Max-11. It is now almost to the point of being boring. They are so predictable, you put ammo in them, pull the trigger and they go bang until you let go of the trigger or the mag is empty.

My point is, in the off chance that your upper malfunctions when you receive it Richard will stand behind it and either get it running for you or assist you in getting it working. You cannot ask for better customer service.

I've put probably 4,000 rounds through mine, without a hitch. I have no intention of ever changing it back to its original configuration, though I do want to buy a fasy-fire bolt when they become available again.

Thanks again! I saw someone mention an adapter that will allow using an UZI can. I have an UZI can so that would be really nice to be able to share.

I will have to look at the rest of the options pretty quick then I guess. As for a stock, I plan to use one of the Practical Solutions Mini UZI style side folder stock as I have one on my M10 and I really like it.

I sold my M10 the past week and I was starting to worry I made a mistake as the M10 was such a pleasure to shoot compared to the M11 so I am anxious for this upgrade.

Thanks, the CD was really created to help me pay for my own websites (quarterbore.com and quarterbore.net) and it does have just about everything a person would want to know about the AR-15. There is far more on the CD then I list on the site. The CD now has a much info as will fit on the cd.

Mine came yesterday and it is everything everyone says it is. Excellent finish and fit, worked 100%. Singles, doubles, triples, you name it, no problem. I bought another one, I am right behind you at #105.

I am shocked the price of M11/Nines has not jumped. You can still get an M11/Nine for ~$3k, add a Max-11 and some accessories and still be under $4k. And have an ass-kicking SMG. I think right now is like when Vector Uzis were selling for < $3K and now you wish you jumped on it. Don't delay.

I apreciate your sense of humor Jackmen and I would never even think of flaming you on giving an honest opinion. I guess it's just that I'm in the catagory of hardcore Mac collectors that love the gun for it's origanal design and pupose, but I think we all know that all too well on this site, and so for now, I wont even go there. LOL!
