This was new to me, has anybody tried and tested this? I was getting ready to purchase a competition FA only trigger and remove the trip but this gave me pause.

Add me to the list of folks that went with the full auto only competition trigger and didn't look back.

Look, it's an open bolt trigger, but the full auto only competition trigger is a VERY significant improvement.

I actually shoot semi because of the local range rules. Silly question but how does the FA only comp trigger help because others says it doesn't change the trigger pull. Just curious...

FA only competition trigger DOES reduce trigger pull. The shoe on the trigger also reduces perceived weight and is much more ergonomic.

"The Full Auto Only Competition Trigger provides a more ergonomic trigger and reduces the measured trigger pull to around 8-1/4 pounds. Due to the 3/8 " wide trigger, the perceived reduction in trigger pull is even less. Elimination of the disconnector and trigger spring results in a shorter and lighter trigger pull. After installation of this trigger, the gun will fire in full auto whether the selector is set to Semi or SMG. A benefit of the this feature is that you will not accidentally start shooting a match with the gun shooting in semi-automatic. This trigger is manufactured from 6061 aluminum and features a hard coat black anodized finish."
