Is there such a thing as a S&W imported Uzi?

Did Smith & Wesson ever import any Uzis? If so does anyone know what era and whether they would be transferable?

Manufacturers often acquire firearms for research purposes so it is possible they imported one or two back in the day. AFAIK they never imported any for sale. At least I don't remember ever reading about it in the UZI book or articles over the years.

Only a pre-68 import would be transferable.
