How to loosen up tight mag pouches?

I have a nylon and kydex chest rig that holds my shockwave z-mags securely, but a little too securely. I've had them sitting in the holder for about a year now and it's still not seeming to loosen up appreciably.

Any tips for loosening up the mag pouches?

Kydex will soften with a heat gun, hit them with the heat and slide the mags in and out, wiggling them slightly. Should do the trick.
