Was at my dealers, he got in a large lot of assorted stuff from an estate. He had some nice steel 40 round HK93 mags, still in the box. Came in a plain white box, no markings on the mag. Anyone know of the origin of these mags, all I've ever seen in the past are 35 rnd steel mags.

left to right, plain white box the mag came in, steel 40 rnd mag, aluminium 40 rnd HK mag

I have two just like that. They are reported to be L.I.Q or M.C.P mags. Same company that marketed the MP5 40 round mags in the 80's. Good quality mags.

IIRC the 40 round magazines were manufactured in Germany for export to Malaysia.

Alloy and steel.??

I think the alum. ones were provided with the HK33s sold to Malaysia. That said, I'm digging this out of my brain from almost 15 years ago so I can't be positive.

It is entirely possible they made steel ones as well, they could also be contract mags from some country or even a US aftermarket like the L.I.Q. mags for the MP5. And it does seem that MCP did make both steel and aluminum 40s, but I don't have any firsthand experience.

Pretty much the same conclusion that was reached a FAL Files also, these are late 80's early 90's production aftermarket mags. Who wasL.I.Q. ? Never heard of them before. Didn't think even then that there was that much of a market for HK 93 mags. May go back and pick up the rest of the lot at my dealers. Any idea what these things are truly worth in today's market?

I have some like that and they have dates on the magazine followers. No other markings anywhere else. They work and thats what counts.
