No not at all it's good to know on the aluminum another mmaterial that will, last longer then pla and is easy to work with.
This thread has ended up being a tips, tricks, & how to, on getting these parts working how it ended up in a rewiew forum is kinda wild.

ETA:
With the 7% resin casting & mold.
That is with a silicone mold that has had the air removed in a vacume chamber when poured. And 45 psi in a pressure pot when hand poured to again remove the air from the casting.
They do make a silicone that will handle the temps of lower metals like zinc and aluminum no idea what they cost.
probably a whole lot being they are industrial and I've never seen it in the hobby world.

I shot another 120 rounds (4-30 rd mags) today with the 5" 45 ACP CMMG Banshee. It worked pretty good but I had 1 stoppage per 30 rd mag for 3 out of 4 mags. The 4th mag ran perfect. In each case the was a live round in the chamber and I just had to pull the trigger again.

No luck slowing down the system with the KynShot buffer or with Tubbs carbine flat spring. The OEM buffer and spring is the most reliable.

ROF has increased to between 850-900 RPM but it's still very fun having a small 45ACP super safe pistol. :)

Is the kynshot as heavy as a h2 or h3? I’ve had consistently good luck with a h3

Congrats - they’re fun!

I pre-ordered an AK SS to try in the Saiga 12G. The grail gun

All I know is that if the left wanted to hurt us, they'd turn MGs into Tittle I guns.

Strobro thanks for the vid just finished it on the TV.
A lot of info on the SS and SP5 I didn't know.

He concludes what we have discussed in the other thread in the Mac subforum.
It is a gimmick due to it's random failures after a highish round count.
had to watch another vid to find out he is using s H&K SP5
I was wondering if he was using a JuSt aS gUd clone or the real deal.

He also put to rest one,of my worries.
I waz worried there would be excessive wear to the,gun it's self but that doesn't seem to be the case.
The wear is all SS items needed to make the gun SS.
If he comes up with a better lower then the LeePercision I'll print one.
He is buying the same printer I already have.
Kinda ashame the lower sits to high ( so he thinks) and he,knows, more about this then me.

I got everything I just need to sit down and assemble it all.
Been to busy trying to get outside work done with the warm weather.

I'll be going through his vids to see more on the SP5
Again thank you for posting that vid excelllent source of info.

No problem.

Took my SS AR out yesterday. Shot 500 rounds. It got very hot. Had 2 dead triggers from pulling singles in SS. Still better reliability than the FRT-15.

1 round bounced off the steel and put 3 fragments into my cheek, chest and lip. Had to dig a piece of the jacket out of my lip. I call it Range herpes. :)

I haven’t put a massive amount of rounds through my AR SS 22lr so it needs more testing. So far it’s been more reliable than:

Norrell 10/22 MG
M16 22lr
Uzi 22lr MG
M-11 MG with Lage 22lr upper

As soon as my double knee replacement allows I can’t wait for more trigger time

Dude. I'd be broke living in a dishwasher box full of MGs if my wife didn't kill me first. She keeps giving me the side eye every time I mention I need another NFA stamp. I mean, we've spent more than a stamp on a grocery trip in the last month.

I haven't had my SS out nor have I been out on the range.

I installed an AK SS in an old Mak-90 I had. It took 15 minutes of fitting with a dremel. It now function checks as super safe. It’ll be a few weeks until I can get to the range.

Next up will be putting one in the krink. I had high hopes of putting one in the Saiga but unfortunately the Saiga rails extend too far to the rear to allow the cam to fit.

Very very very fun stuff

That looks like fun.

Post a video of at least a 10 round dump if you want the ROF.
Do the SS guns generally have the same ROF as their full-auto counterparts? For example, if you put the same upper on a SS AR15 lower and then an M16 lower, would the ROF be similar?

I’ve never timed mine for comparison. Internet people (😀) seem to say that the SS is a little faster than an M16

I’ve got a few on the way from Grey Market Research, they’re a legit company. Only worrisome thing, was when I placed my order I was #4790 with the balls to do it.
With FRT winning and bumpstocks, I see absolutely nothing to worry about. Worst case we all get knocks and have to hand them over, until someone beats them in court. Right now, they’re the cheapest option. Paid $130 OTD, for a gold set (only ones in stock).

There’s a guy on Facebook who’s good to go on AK SS’s, he goes by Harrison Gunworks and is within the local SS community. $130 a pop, he’s working on something special nobodies done before and is releasing the pre-order in a few weeks.
The AK ones will work in a saiga 12, but any other AK12 has to have a regular AK receiver and nothing weird going on inside.

Found this thread and community just now searching through google, this is my first post 😂.

Here’s a link to Harrison (spent a few hours talking to him, seems like a solid dude. Haven’t ordered anything yet from him but I will soon) I’m also waiting for GMR to get some more MP5 trips in stock. I’ve got a Mac 5K that I’m going to SS as soon as they restock. Mac5k $965, lee lower $325 (aluminum) trip $90, SS $100.
Yeah, I’ll take 20.

Yes, and with FRT winning against the ATF along with bumpstocks, it’s a damn good time to be alive. If these stay on market with no issues, (Trump just won, we’ve at minimum got 4 years), I would think other than collectibility the E4’s are going to dive in price. Everybody wanted a MG because it’s all that was legally available, but now they’re opening up a whole new world. It only took 40+ years past 86 to figure it out haha.

His video for the AK SS is 493 RPM.
I honestly like that, close enough to 600 but makes the recoil more manageable like a timing retarder which would in return increase reliability.

How fast are the 9s running? Is it 1000+?
