Good Thoughts/Prayers For Sam Of Practical Solutions

Today’s update...
They put Sam back on the O2 last night as he just wasn’t doing well enough to be off it it yet. I just talked to the doctor. The results of the CT scan came back and there are no blood clots or bacteria in his lungs. It’s only “classic” covid pneumonia which is good.
They are going to continue with dexamethasone and it takes 2-3 days to kick in. They are also going to give him some breathing treatments one being albuterol and I can’t remember the other name. They did a fecal sample cuz he still has diarrhea and it was negative for c-dif so they think it’s covid moving from his lungs to his stomach. They are not going to try any other of the covid treatments at this time bc he’s already doing pretty good and the other treatments all have their own side effects. They are taking a conservative approach.
They don’t want to add any medications he doesn’t need. But over all he’s doing well and maybe they are hinting at maybe sending him home with o2, breathing treatments and the dexamethasone. So we’ll see. The doctor was very nice and seemed knowledgeable but was in a hurry as doctors in hospitals are. They seem to be taking good care of him. He ate all his breakfast and is looking more and more forward to getting home and he’s starting to talk about wanting to get back to work lol.
