Tina let me know that Sam is in the hospital. She wrote me today:
"I finally got an update from the nurse. He’s doing really well. Yesterday, he was on 2 liters of oxygen and his blood oxygen level was 92%. Today he is on 1 liter and he’s at 95%. He ate breakfast and lunch. He took a shower and brushed his teeth. He’s more talkative and alert. They are thinking about taking him off of the oxygen all together to see how he does. They have canceled all antibiotics and have started him on dexamethazone (sp?) which is a steroid. They have tested him again for covid but the results are not back yet. They have an order in for a ct scan but they haven’t done it yet. The ct scan will give them a better look at what his pneumonia is doing in his lungs. She said he is doing really good. His doctor dr. Sachan has been hired or brought in specifically to work the covid unit."
She had told me that Sam's initial Covid-19 test was positive. Please keep Sam and Tina in your thoughts.
