Since my search to buy one on the secondhand market has been fruitless, I am reviewing the possibility of doing a group buy to get cost down from a production run.
I am thinking of just offering a Micro/MAR length tube as the design will have the picatinny rail (MIL-STD-1913) go the entire length, including over the section that dovetails into the receiver; some people may not like this on right hand side cocking handle firearms. However, if people would like SAR, AR/ARM length and don't want the Hillbilly Firearms version then let me know.
Already have prototype in-hand. This is a SAR length without vent holes just to check other major dimensions and fits.
Render of production version at MAR length (107MM). Will be AL6061-T6 w/ proper Type III Hard Anodize (or unfinished if you prefer).
