Has anyone heard of redstick firearms? Came across them on accident, they are building a galil style SAR, or so it looked in the picture. Anyway it's built on a stamped reciever and priced over a grand. Any thoughts?

We carry Galil parts..

I just thought I would make a quick post here introducing APEX Gun Parts as a member of UZI Talk.

I know many of you are familiar with us as a source for part kits and magazines.
We also carry GALIL parts and recently added cut receivers.
Here is a link to the GALIL products page::

https://www.apexgunparts.com/index.php/cPath/75

We are also continuing to expand our line of parts.

Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about our products.

Is there any way this resource can be updated? Most of the suppliers listed are from 2006, and most either don;t have anything for a Galil or are out of business.

The ones I know about are:

* Blackthorn for kits and parts. A little expensive, but good stuff. http://akpartskits.com
* Apex has some good stuff: https://www.apexgunparts.com/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=galil&x=0&y=0
* Florida Gun Works has some parts, kits, and Golani's http://www.floridagunworks.com
* Midway has a few mags and odd pieces as does Sarco.
* 24 hour Tactical has a few parts and an awesome cleaning kit.

Other than the above and the bits on Gunbroker and various boards, that is all I have.

Anyone else?

Florida Gunworks is horrible.

First, try finding a real phone number or address for them...or a name of anyone. Somebody who got screwed by FGW finally tracked down some gunshop in Miami that goes by a different name by using the FFL info.

Second, many of the items listed on the website are not avaiable. These also happen to be the most desirable and reasonably priced items. When you place an order it does not say "out of stock" or something similar. Instead, you get an e-mail later saying that the item was out of stock but they have shipped the rest of the order.

Pretty clever since we all ussually order a few other items with the thing we really want. So, FGW sells us the overpriced impulse buy while drawing us in with the bait item. Case in point: There is a lugged Argentine FAL barrel listed on the website for under $100. In the FAL world this is very sought after and that price is below market value. Well, as long ago as 2008 these were out of stock and had been for some time. Yet the barrels are still on the website and listed as available. I can give a couple more similar examples.

These guys need to be put out of business.

Thank you for the heads up. I am also on the FAL files, have heard a few grumblings, but no idea the extent to which they are lying and cheating. No other words for their practices (assuming your reporting is accurate, which I believe it may very well be.)

So, besides Blackthorn, where can a fella pick up a kit and/or good parts with OUT having to give up a testicle or other body part?

Just thought I would throw a few of the more recent parts suppliers I've happened upon.
Galil-AR15 magazine adapter, even make one specifically for Caspian/Century GLN ser. # receivers and GAL ser. #. Theyre made by Magnolia State Armory, may find them cheaper.
http://www.triggeraction.com/TA/magazines-c-74.html?alpha_filter_id=0&filter_id=256&sort=20a

Galil scope mount, fits the side cut dovetail style mount:
www.pri-mounts.com

Galil wood handguards, AR/SAR style and ARM style. Also matching wood pistol grips, pricey but high quality.
www.silvercrescentindustries.com

Galil original A2 M16 style side scope mount, and Trilux SUIT scopes and mounts for Galil, tons of IDF goodies.
http://scopetica.com/catalog/default.php

Also worth mentioning is 24hourtactical, BoTach, Numrich has good prices on mags right now and other misc. Galil parts, and akpartskits/Blackthorne. I know they were mentioned before, but I know for sure these places are still stocking Galil parts. APEX gun parts is active on this board and they also have a great selection. Their info is a few posts up and I have bought a lot of parts from them and have been 100% satisfied every time.
Thanks for reading.
