I have several Galil mags, 35rd 223 and 25 rd 308. 308 mags are marked IMI. 223 mags are not. All are in fantastic shape with some minor handling marks. It looks like they have never been inserted into a rifle. What are these things worth? thanks

$35 for the 35rd .223s, maybe? Apex has usable (if not slightly rusty) ones for $27, so there's something of a ceiling to what you're going to get.

IIRC, the 25rd .308 mags are worth a lot more, but I'm not an expert on that.

35 Rounders --
Grade 1 (Exc) condition - $20-30
Grade 2 (Dings, some scratches) - $15-20
Grade 3 (Rust, corrosion, pitting) - $10-13

SARCO has Grade 2/3 mags for $15.00 a pop.
All the ones I got didn't have any serious pitting/rust, just some dings and surface wear.

.308 Mags are a different story.
Only Once have I ever seen them in anything other than grade 1 condition from MR or AA. And those only went for about $75 a piece with finish wear/rust.
.308 mags usually go for about $90 a piece now. I managed to get two for about $83 each shipped, which is probably the best you can get them for now.

Orlites go for pretty cheap.
About $15 a pop I say. Most are brand new; never really seen any with dings/gouges.

NIB fiddies' - I'd guess around $60.
NIB 35's - About $35

Where are these NIB orlites for $15 a pop?

If so, no one should ever use metal.........

I have 4 new in packaging Orlites, in East German AK 4 mag pouch, that I was planning to put on Gunbroker at some point tomorrow. Am asking $200, $50 per mag and throwing in the pouch for free... Message me if interested before too late in the evening.

Orlites were recently sold at Blackthrone; in which they had a batch of 325 items; new in the wrap. They were selling them for 15.00; in which I bought a handful (good price).

Orlites (even new in the wrap) are not worth more than 25.00

For the .308 converted mags; The KMT's are the original pre-ban .308 mags made in the early 80's and a little more pricey. I have used them in multiple .308 galil varients with very positive results.

The people I talked to; who used promags; said they were junk. I know the 30 round ones I tried in my HK91; didn't cut it.

If one were to get M14 mags (checkmate industries preffered) and re-weld the corrent sized lugs; front and back; with the proper placement; you would have bitching mags.

50 to 70 a piece is what I paid; with most in like new condition; Of course you should get a package deal for the lot. Make sure to verify they are the real deal.

Adipose, the cheapest I've seen Galil Orlites anywhere is $25 per for questionable quality used from Florida Gun Works that have gotten a lot of mixed reviews -- once paying shipping and buying new springs, you're at least at $35 and then whatever time you have in install... Or you can buy new at $45 per at Whatacountry (but not in wrap). Or new with wrap at $60 per on gunbroker. Point being, prices are out of control, but I'm selling for what I have in them (including shipping on my original purchase). I'm pro-capitalism. Folks can buy what they want, but recognize that Galil Orlites, especially in new condition, are increasingly rare. (And I don't think selling these mags at the increased market rate is comparable to speculators hoarding ammo and then flipping at double what they paid...)

There was an Orlite flood to the market with a surplus dump around 2008 (best I can tell, bought my Golani in 2011) that dropped prices exceptionally low. Now they're mostly sold out and with the market what it is, $50 for new in wrap is at or below market rate. I bought this set of 4 in early January, but they won't fit my Golani without milling the receiver, so that's why I'm selling. Considering new covered on cosmoline steel and needing to be degreased and thoroughly cleaned and sometimes with surface rust are at least $35, and the Orlite's are newer tech and much lighter and with just the spring being oiled for storage (and a 1 minute rather than 15 minute cleaning being required), for me the slight surcharge on Orlites was worth it. But they didn't work for me (I actually bought two lots of Orlites and the used ones are the ones I tried for fit, and they did not fit -- the ones I'm selling are brand spanking new)... You *might* find some private seller sitting on new Orlites he paid $10 or $15 for a couple years ago willing to part with them at a slight premium, but I've been watching and haven't seen it.

If you want cheap polymer, Tapco's Galils did work on my not to spec Golani magwell, though I did have to take a file to the inside feed lip of the mag for reliability... You can find these all over the place for $10-15 per ready to go excepting the slight filing of the feed lip if you experience bullet scrape there as well...

So instead of Orlites and wanting a good stock of original issue and reliable mags, I'm going with Blazin's steel block on new/like new steel galil, magpul gen 3 followers with Wolff xtra power 223/AR15 springs to meet my reliability requirements. Capacity drops to 34 from 35, but it's worth it IMO. +$7 to $10 per steel mag for this setup depending on discount for the # of springs/followers purchased not counting the $25 Blazer block.

YMMV.

Very interesting....I never would have thought the Magpul followers would fit.

We just got our hands on a supply of original steel 35 round IMI Galil magazines. We will be selling them as 6 packs at 165$ with free shipping. They were hardly used and in excellent condition.

EDIT: Turns out we also have an extremely limited supply of BRAND NEW original IMI steel 35rd galil magazines still covered in cosmoline. These will only be sold in packs of 6 and we can not get more so once they are gone thats it
