Which would you experienced guys recommend on torquing the Galil barrel to the receiver? Also, what attachment ( crows foot maybe?) do you use on the receiver side coupled to the torque wrench? Thanks!

Well..since no ones offering up there proper way..heres what i do..

Barrel has two flats milled on shoulder..or alteast it should.
Clamp it in flat jawed bridgeport vise on the flats.

For a "crows foot" i took a large adjustable wrench cut the back off it and weld a cheap 1/2 drive socket to the end for my tourqe wrench to fit in..i place two pieces of 1/4" 1n1/2"x1n1/2" flatbar between the jaws of the adjustable wrench and the receiver for a flatter clamping surface..

Get ya some black ultra tourqe goop (neversleeze)
And tourqe it to 150ft pounds..then check your headspace.

There ya' go.
Clamp the barrel down tight, and turn the receiver to 150 ft lbs, just like the good (and experienced) man said. (Not, the other way around, but I see you knew that part already)
That's the right way to do it.

What about using a heavy duty strap wrench with a 18" handle to prevent marring the receiver finish? I weigh close to 150 lbs so it should be close?

Really needs to be tourqed right..and be able to repeat process incase barrel shoulder needs turned to acheive proper headspacing..you could use copper or brass as the jaws..but you really do need to be able to check ft pounds.
