I have a Galil ARM 336 AAL early import select fire. The gun was originally marked magnum research but IMI milled it off and re marked it Action Arms LTD. This is an early gun and I understand AA imported machine guns for Govt/LE sales as early as late 1980 to early 1981. This gun recently converted from a sample to transferable. I’m trying to find out if anyone has any idea how many factory built imported ARM 336 may be on the registry. I’ve been involved with NFA since the mid 80’s and never seen another one and rarely any ARM 332’s that were converted

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Top is the ARM 336 select fire Action Arms import. Bottom is a Magnum research import ARM 332 semi auto (note the semi auto has a different flash hider, stock and no bayonet lug).

Nice pair of rifles! I was curious about the stock on your 332, is that a notch or cut out on the upper cheek bar that I see? More pictures(y)

Muzzle brakes are different also. Slotted on the semi MR import. Also the MR gun didn’t come with the bayonet lug on the barrel. It has the dog knot for it but was never installed.

Oh, man, a year ago I'd offer to take this off your hands!
I'd say very few pre-86 select-fire guns imported, but I have heard there were some that were converted (by MR and/or AA) in America on receivers that had factory select-fire markings so who knows?

^^^ Ei ^^^ That's very very interesting indeed especially to me... have a MR336 that's marked "AR" however, it's an ARM! ^^^
