Guy- I am very happy you pay attention to detail.

I received my full size UZI folding stock, installed it in minutes and ran about 200 rds through my rig. Form fit and function is great. All I can say is WoW I'm impressed, definitely worth the investment.

For those that haven't seen these it is a custom profiled folding buttstock that fits neatly into the trigger housing and frame area, Original style rubber cover, rear hinge plate, that locks and swings just like the originals.
Again thank Guy Great piece of kit. www.TitleIIArms.com

Thanks for feedback. Love doing these, Just wish it didn't take so long and require so much work to get them right and out the door. I should be restoring old scales or kids wagons for 4k a piece like that restoration guy on TV :)

Saw these on Gunbroker, is this a functional improvement over the folding stock? How does it attach to the receiver? Looks real sexy IMHO!

How about more information on who makes this and what is the cost? Is it something that most uzi owners are willing to use or just some fad? More information about its ergonomics and price point would help those who lurked these forums for answers.

Edit: I apoligize for not looking at the link first. Looks like some nice equipment.

Ergonomics: In my opinion it is a functional improvement over the factory folding stock. For me the ‘fit’ is very comfortable; the rubber cover on the arm has a good feel on the cheek even when firing from various positions. It lines up a good sight picture for quick acquisition. Firing with the stock in the folded position also has a natural feel. The design helps to ensure that the weapon functions in both positions. Based on my expereince with 1000 plus rounds with the new stock, it helps improve control of the weapon.

Quality: Very high quality and the stock has a stiff spring for a positive lock in each position.

Cons: The stock doesn't deploy as fast as the factory folder. Suspect this will improve with use.

Installation: Remove Allen screw, old stock and locking nut from receiver. Install new locking nut, new stock and Allen screw.

Note: The kit contains everything you need down to the Allen wrenches. I made a small dimple for the setscrew and used blue Loctite on the Allen screw.

Manufacturer:
Guy Votuc
TitleIIArms
Dilliner,PA

Cost: $$ Moderate (Rated between $-$$$). In my opinion, well worth a custom stock that makes my UZI even more of a pleasure to shoot.

Overall: Great piece of kit.

My wife got a chance to shoot it with the new stock, now she wants an UZI with this stock in Lieu of her AR. Guess I'll be buying another one soon.

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the Manufacturer.

Not sure what you mean by fad?

Thanks for the informative feedback. Always looking to improve items and/or make them less costly. These are all hand-made and hand fitted stocks and take about 2 days to make each one so the labor is what drives up the cost. For a used semi UZI it is a fair portion of the total cost, for a SMG it's about the cost of a weekend's worth of bullets :)

Was there a reason that the mount plate uses a set screw (hence requires a dimple in the back plate of the firearm to prevent rotation which I am not willing to put in my reg rec Uzi) instead of the anti-rotation ledge like is on the standard fold-in stock from Uzi? The set screw alone will keep me from ever considering using the product, regardless of price.

I tried the "ledge" thing but found unless I made them to fit each gun (in hand) their was no way to make them fit all the different frames out there. Some frame edges were a bit more square or round or had less grinding on the weld, etc etc. When I made one to fit my Vector FS perfectly tight without any movement ( side twist ) it left marks in the rear and was sloppy on my Mini frame. The pointed set screw was an after thought, to absolutely stop the mount from twisting in hard use. Normally it's not needed to prevent any twist. If you open the stock half way and twist really hard you CAN turn it though with out an additional anchor point. I can also use a nylon or brass tipped set screw that prevents digging into the rear. It's a compromise between a little mark in the rear from a hard tipped screw and no screw.

LOL.. wish I had more time to enjoy my lead delivery system. Let me know when your ready for her's and I'll give her a special UziTalk deal. We gotta keep the wives happy :) Maybe we can engrave her name on the buttstock.

I believe that I have one of the first 5 F/S side folders that Guy made. It is still very tight, strong and hasn't shifted at all. I love the fit and feel and is exactly what I wanted.
