I'm pumped. I just put my lower in the mail (registered and insured USPS) to Alliance/MAG Tactical today. I opted for the turn-key package. I figure the stock, sights, and accessories, plus the guarantee they had the upper running perfectly on the lower was worth it.

That hole is smaller and less obtrusive than I had thought it would be.

Agreed, but still ugly.
It didn't matter to me because I had an AR15 type stock on it anyway since I like being able to adjust the stock length to the shooter.
Any suggestions for a "prettier" adjustable AR15 type stock with buffer capability?

SOB! I found out I was # 19 all along. Anyone want to buy a used grave stone? You could turn it over and put what you want on it. Just kidding, I just got my CC's paid off and now this thing pops up. Does anyone feel any negative waves sending in their lower? It's just that I can't get the thought out of my head "100+ hogs two hundred yards out, in a 500 acre wheat field with a drum full of tracers.

When I got the email, I called 812 490 8770 today to ask a few ?'s including my #. The girl Said she would find out. She called me back today and answered the questions and told me I was #19. Makes me wonder if they have three lists for the three ordering options. Hmmmm?

What refinishing service?

I asked MAG tactical/AA about it awhile ago and the lady with MAG tactical said she would find out. She got back to me and said they could creakote it. I just sent mine in and said I wanted to have that done after the hole was cut.

Edit: Its around $150 I think.

Sweet, was the $150 for the upper only or upper and lower?

I may consider doing both in OD or Foiliage green if the price is right. I got the call saying my number was up (originally #13), my card has been charged and I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

When I aquire the funds over the next week or so I'll probaly throw down the extra $$$ to get the hole in the back as well as send back the upper with my lower back in for a cerakote.

Just giving a quick update we were able to get 10 sabre uppers completed test fired and ready to ship Friday as in boxed ready for ups pickup.

We had to ship to the first 10 that wanted just the upper as we are waiting on M.B.U.S. sights, should be here today or tomorrow and then the 2 lowers that are in our possession "complete conversions" will ship.

There will be some slight differences in the uppers for example we have shipped just a few to date less than 5 we have since added laser engraving on the upper and the bolt carriers are now nickel Teflon coated as well.

Also the barrel length of upcoming production will be about 1.5" longer just because we are making them in house and 12" works out for the length of barrel blanks we have. Some will be chrome lined some will have melonite finish.

Within a few weeks we should be close and then a production run of 50 or so should take 4-6 weeks by looking at the 3d models the changes shouldn't be too painful but as David just walked by while I was typing he said and I quote "Don't nail me down to a set date!"
He handles the CAD and design proofing before final production starts, we will try to make as many parts as possible be interchangeable between the 2 platforms.
