Folding Stock on "b" model Uzi

Does the folding stock on a "b" model Uzi with a 16" barrel have to be welded to keep it legal? It has a GI receiver (HR4332S) and no other markings on it to indicate who manufactured the gun. I'm trying to make a decision to buy it but if I have to weld it, then I really don't want it.

No man it doesnt have to be welded, I assume you mean welded open, as long as you keep the 16" barrel on it you should be cool, I have one (a model b) and I love it, I bought a barrel shroud from Bushmaster and it looks great with the 16". Just my .02 Russ

You could give calling Vector a try, they may know if it is pre or post ban by your serial #, since they bought all of GI's receivers and are selling pre and post ban Uzi's
