I've noticed lately there have been maybe ten FN FNC guns for sale on Gun Broker. I have not seen a sear for sale anywhere however in the past eight months. Makes me wander just how many sears are out there. There's been much conjecture through the years that the were more sears than hosts. Not likely. My guess is there are less than thirty five hundred sears total and sixty five hundred guns.

I have a sear with a serial number a little higher than 3500.

Sears

I too have seen sears numbered over 3500. However, I've never seen any numbered under 500. Have you? It's possible that the numbers on the sears may have started higher than 0001.

When I talked to Curtis he said there were no more sears out there, but there is a guy selling some on Sturm. I asked how many he had for sale and asked if he would deal on multiples and his response was he wouldn't tell how many he had?!? I should have started the 07/02 process sooner.

I picked one up for 4k about 6 months ago. More than I wanted to pay, but my choice. I see plenty available at 5k.

I passed back in the day of 2700 'cause I couldn't find a gun.
Found two guns in the last three months ( un converted semi's) but now those sears are rather expensive.

Made me move to another transferable and I'm still looking for that "deal" on the FNC

I once read somewhere there were 5 sears for every semi. That was one reason they were so cheap for so long.

To bad the BATFE won't let us put them in the SCARs.
I've read it's no more work then the FNC guns.

I posted ads and never got a response. Hell, I have offered dealers their asking price on guns and haven't gotten a response. It made my DLO, Andrewski all that much better. I think I am going to do more business with them, I have to see what toys they have I can afford.

I have also got no replys for WTB ads,,,,going to pull the trigger on letting TBA supressors install one of his for 5500.00, that makes the sear price 4900.00 as his install price is 600.00. I've read good reviews on TBA work both in quality and time of install, Mister Higgins did one for me about 3 years ago (650.00) and it took just a few days short of a year, been reading TBA is 2 or 3 months.

I have a sear for my FNC (still waiting on the BATFE to finish the transfer from my Class 3 dealer, as my hair becomes ever grayer). My plan is to send it all to TBA for the actual conversion, including the TBA 3 round burst kit.

TBA just finished mine.
No telling when I will get it though. Form 3 should clear soon, then the form 4 wait begins.
Willbdavis you should just have the sear sent over for repairs while you are waiting on the transfer to complete.
That way it may be all done by the time your form clears.

Just checking, anyone got a line on a sear for less than the $5,400 installed that TBA is asking?

Be patient. Keep cash on hand. Keep looking. Don't hesitate; Be prepared to leap when that good deal comes up. It will eventually.
