FNC mag question

I recently picked up some Spanish Cetme L 30rd magazines and noticed they are constructed exactly like the original FNC 30rd magazine I have. Notably the base plate can be pushed in (unlike an M16 magazine that has a base plate that can’t be pushed in).

It’s common knowledge that the Cetme L magazines were problematic due to dirt getting in and poor springs.

Is this also the case with Belgian FNC issued magazines?

For sure, a real FN made FNC mags last for ever.
They weight 3x a M16 mag, pure steel, virtualy solid block. You will feel the quality.
Whenever you got your hands on a real SA80 Brit mag, you will laugh.

Seems that dirt and debris could get into the magazine if the baseplate can be pushed in. Perhaps this is not an FN mag? There’s no markings, but it is solid steel.

You have a correct type1 mag with steel follower. as we speak, we got 4 more types .

The dirt seems not to be a big problem. Most folks used to tape the bottom with a piece of paracord in it to retract it fast from the pouch.
The FNC doesn't have problems if you use the mag as support on the ground.
You can smash somebodu his head with those things ; )

M76FS in .223.

I lucked into four mags when I bought it.

Just added an AR70 last week.

Paco, the Italians, and myself all got to enjoy Africa together with these firearms back in the day. Mine was an M-16A2 though.
