Finally got to pick up my M11/9.
It appears that I inadvertently got a NIB one. Is it safe to assume a NIB SWD is not worth enough of a premium to bother keeping that way? (It's an 86 gun) Not really interested in waiting a year for a shooter anyway, so I think it's going to the range tomorrow.:clap

This was stamp #6 and the wait was worse than any of the rest. I'm real happy that it's home.

When your laid to rest and the dirt is being shoveled on you someone else will pop it's cherry. Shoot It! I just took possession of a new toy Saturday and it will be shot as soon as the weather clears.

Congrats man! I say shoot it! You only live once. My m10/9 was nib.....I shot it the day after I got it! I maybe lost a little value initially, but it has since appreciated to more than I paid for it.

Get on the list for a lage upper. It turns the gun into a completely different gun.

Ferraris are made to be driven... SMGs are made to be shot... and enjoyed.

Both my M11/9 and M11A1 were NIB safe queens when I got them. They certainly aren't anymore, and I don't regret it one bit.

The machine gun world and number of transferables is too small to have some of them sitting unfired in a box.

I might be interested. I'm going to test the plastic mags more thoroughly tomorrow and I ordered some of the zmags to try as we'll.

The ZMags are all you're going to need... no reason to change to a Sten magwell setup...

We'll it choked bad on Sunday. Couldn't get more that 4-5 rds most of the time. Used a stack of factory mags and several different loads. Most failures were a case at ~45deg mouth up between bolt and ejector rod. One case even managed to get under and behind the bolt (that one certainly had me perplexed for a few minutes). Ammo was blazer brass 115 and 124gr(both worked ok last week), wolf 115gr, tulammo 115gr, and a 124gr reload going about 1070fps using green dot. The hand load seemed to be ok. Problem started when the tulammo was introduced and had the above described jam. None of the loads showed ejection of more than a foot or two.
Did I bend the ejector rod?
ETA, the gun is stock and I replaced the buffer with a 1/4" thick 90d rubber pad trimmed to match factory buffer.
ETA#2 I just put it back together. Ejector rod is bent and mushrooming on the end. I guess it's time to start ordering/making parts.
