Bought this Model-A from Ruben a few weeks ago. It's a RR gun with the blocking bar removed. I had my class 3 dealer ship it to John Andrewski for the full SMG conversion so that all SMG spec parts will be drop in. He sent me pictures of the finished product. It's going to be a long wait.

It is ridiculous you have to send it out for a year. Smiths should keep a list and only have it sent in when they are within a few weeks of starting the work.

I believe the "one year" referred to above was for the Form 4 transfer, not Mr. Andrewski's work.

John Andrewski does contact you when your spot comes up. Over the years, I've had an Uzi, an MP40 and a Sten worked on by him with excellent results.

Each one took about six to eight weeks to complete.

Gotcha. Sent off while waiting on the form 4 to come back. Was having a Murray Uhrbach nightmare.

Looks nice! Doing the full conversion is the way to go.

Absolutely gorgeous!
Did the full conversion include welding up and redrilling the the grip frame lug from 9mm down to 8mm?

I provided John with a pristine smg "A-R-S" lower to replace the converted semi lower. I know John put in the smaller pin however, I don't know exactly how that was accomplished? He may have put a bushing in but I'll have to ask. Also has the SMG sear that required the proper fitting.

That's what I thought after doing some research. Not many out there as far as I can tell that have the complete conversion done.
