How long do these last? If I am happy with my ROF, do I ever need to replace it? Mine is wedged in my Vector pretty tightly, so I seldom remove it, even for cleaning, as I abrade the buffer edges just pulling it out of the receiver.

Not an overwhelming response, I guess it was a stupid question or the buffers aren't worth messing with.

Maybe if I had modified my question as "which buffer works better, an IMI original buffer or a buffer made by/for Vector? That would likely have generated a discussion about superior materials, IMI buffers wouldn't fit in a Vector because of alignment problems, heat treating etc.

Unless you are swapping buffers around so you can alter ROF (this is more common for a full size UZI, not a Mini), people generally leave them in place and not worry about it. The main reason to swap buffers on a Mini is when switching from open bolt to closed bolt. They use different width buffers.

You're absolutley right that removing them puts more wear on the buffers than using them. You shouldn't have to worry about wear.

Dave , how thick is the closed bolt buffer?I have a closed bolt kit that I have for my Mini but it didn't come with a buffer, just the striker assembly.
Thx
