Got this project out of mothballs and finished it.
I wanted one with a more Americanized look so I went with what I thought a USGI mini would look like. "FIRE" and "SAFE" instead of "F" and "S". Same with the identifying marks on sheet metal and lower grip assy.
Smaller cocking knob and a round, knurled windage adjusting knob that doesn't require a special key.
Parkerizing instead of paint seemed a more typical US finish, so here it is.

Aww duke, 'Idiot' is such a strong word. I prefer 'Still looking forward to the next project'. Only downside is the current market making parts harder to find and pricey.
You just might find the mini is Goldilocks-size... not too big and not too small.

I always wanted to get one "for my wife"!! She loved the full size but complained it was too heavy after a while shooting! Oh well, probably never happen now!
