Cope, on the FS, yes. A little filing on the bayo lug. On the Mini another fit as is... had to shorten handle potion though. lol

Thank you Z06. I think I'll get a needle file out and see what I can do to the inside of the bayonet.

Received my bayonet from DSA today, fits on my IMI Model A semi with no fitting. Had to kinda slap it on the first time, after that inserts OK, tight fit thou and harder to remove than install. The invioce says UZI Original Used Condition, seems to be new unused to me, never sharpened, some scuffing on front flange. No manufacturing info anywhere, maybe there is not supposed to be. I got tired of waiting for DSA to get the bayonet in stock so I ordered one from "The War Store" in S. Africa the 12th of Oct, $60 plus $20.35 for shipping, don't think about shipping by UPS to get it faster they wanted $244 to ship by UPS. Haven't received it yet, if I ever receive it I will post on the condition of it. I guess it was the only one they had because it is not listed anymore. I had been watching the site for months but didn't want to spend that much, so maybe they had more and I just ordered the last one.

Update: The bayonet from S. Africa came 31-Dec-2012 condition the same as from DSA, but the scabbard is not the same I think better quality than from DSA. I'll see if I can take picture of the two for people to comment on.

I also ordered one from DSA and recieved it on Monday, one day earlier than UPS planned. I agree with Junkcollector's description above. DSA advertised UZI Original Used Condition, but seems to be new unused to me also, never sharpened, some scuffing, nothing major. See photos attached. Have not yet had a chance to test-fit it on my Vector (still pending NFA Stamp at my SOT, hopefully by Thanksgiving).

Stayed up last night with a needle file and the Dremel fitting the bayonet. Went to bed at 12:30, but definitely worth the effort:

I ordered a new condition South African Uzi bayonet, scabbard, and frog from Vector when I bought my FA gun new. These were made by Littleton Engineering in SA, as the SA Uzis were. I figured it would fit the Vector just fine, but it turns out that the bayonet is basically unusable. It's easily mounted, but for some reason, it then sticks an place and is almost impossible to remove. Since it's an accessory that I don't much care about using, I have not bothered with sending the gun/bayonet back for warranty work. Everything else that I bought from Vector fits to perfection, including the .22 conversion kit and magazines, OD stock and grip set, and wooden butt stock.

I gotta say, the Uzi looks kinda silly with a bayonet mounted up. My first thought was that if I needed it, I've let the bad guys get way too close! But then again, it would be perfect for prodding POWs.

Fit it yourself. You need to widen a C shape in the hole the barrel goes through closest to the blade. Use a dremmel and a conical shaped stone bit. You can then blue it with gun blue after a degreasing and it will look new.

Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the UZI bayonet has been documented as being used in combat by the Israelis.

At least with a bayonet you have turned your UZI into a very effective lawn dart...

They might also test-fit the bayonet on the Vector without the barrel nut in place. Mine was initially "catching" somewhere too. I tried that and found it mounted up to the Vector/GI lug, just fine. However, it was making contact directly under the barrel nut. I used a Dremel to relieve some of the area on top of the bayonet, not modifing barrel nut or Vector at all of course. Touched up the relieved area on top of the bayonet with paint, looks great and fits like a glove! That solved my problem at least.
