anyone have any idea what the going rate is for the early unmarked bolts and where one could be found or sold. thinking about selling mine. thanks.
To be straight forward though, they're not the same. The bolt length is shorter, so there's less weight. It brings the 1200 rpm down to 8-900 on an m11/9. The original cfw bolt slowed it down further.I'll sell you mine for 3 grand. But seriously, get on the list, somebody is making another run of them.
To add to this - IRRC, the first type of non-A marked tungsten alloy bolt was sized for and patterned after the steel M11/9 bolt. As such, it weighs about 32 oz.; and has a separate firing pin and retainer as a closed bolt application had been anticipated. The first group of about 110 weren't engraved and the final batch of 200 were engraved. To be straight forward though, they're not the same. The bolt length is shorter, so there's less weight. It sold for $2400. Worth every penny.Somebody offered to sell one of these on Gun Broker for $3200 recently.
Seems excessive to me.
I said $2400, slight difference from $3k, with inflation that‘s different than the year ‘09— price aside, if you haven’t tried a tungsten bolt yet it’s understandable you’re missing the value.WOW!!! Alot of this stuff is getting into the price range of "out of my range" or "cost more then the gun and stamp"
Guess when your paying 12 to 15k for a m10/11 whats a 3k bolt??
I sold that bolt. Why 09? Is there a belief I joined the same year I got into NFA? Cause its not.
So are you the guy that paid 2400 for the bolt?
Wow! I have one of these. Love it! Paid Vegas SMG $750 for it, as I recall. I run it in a Gray Ghost or Lage Mk-2SK upper. I put one of the ILWT stainless steel firing pins in it.It sold for $2400. Worth every penny.
Wish my A-bolt had a replaceable firing pin.
Are those scuff patterns in the back?? Looks like that bolt has a special wave vibration!this is the bolt with it's dedicated MPA upper
jack, the rear of that upper was a slightly snug fit in the back of the receiver so i took some 300 wet/dry to clearance it a little bit. i used a sharpie to keep track of it how much i was removing.Wow!
