What does the number represent which is stamped on the front of IMI's 25rd star marked mags? I have seen several different numbers and being an enquiring mine I just need to know these things. TIA, Bill

I don't know. I've only seen about half a dozen. When I first saw them most were #9, 24, and 40. I thought it had something to do with caliber, but I'm not real sure. I've also seen 25 as I recall but only one. A few numbers I can't remember for sure but just one or two here and there. It may also have to do with size (number of rounds). Karl.

I just looked and here's what I have. IMI Star marked green parked 25 round mags 10, 11, 14, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, & 24. IMI and Star marked black parked 25 rounders 23, 24, & 25. IMI marked black enamel 32 rounders 9. I also noticed a few that were not in my toolmark thread and will be added tonight. Karl.

Sure, declare a race on a night I had to work. No fair.

I thought about making a note of all the numbers as I was looking through the IMI mags in the last bunch I got, but didn't before I wrapped them up. I've never heard anyone try to correlate them with reliability of anything so it's just a curiosity i guess.

I was wondering about the numbers as I just took in a few as trade towards a firearm. I ended up with numbers 17, 19, 21. Hope this doesn't turn out to be one of those cat things LOL.
