What about the receiver??? :)

Tony

My receiver was cut up in a couple of pieces. The ATF wanted pics of the parts kit and all engravings. It'll take a little work to get her complete, but it'll be done..... eventually.

Seems expensive, but here are two kits for sale, $1,200 each.
They usually do 15-20% off with free shipping on holidays.

Like today, for example.

coupon code:
'NOV18'
(Good for online orders placed by 11:59pm PST, Nov. 9th, 2018)

While expensive, those look like somewhat easy builds. I grabbed some other parts from them previously, and they're always 100% as shown, packed really well, and shipped promptly.

Wow! $1200??? Most parts kits that sl on GB hardly get over $400, one was $700 but it was special. I got mine for $360 shipped awhile ago. In fact there's a couple of complete SS ones on GB for $1k or so, but those are over priced, IMHO.

I may have been the one who bought the $700 kit... extra parts, overlapped receiver pieces, etc. I'm thinking of getting another couple of parts kits now that I have a functional (if not 12ga or shotgun at all) example to work from. I really ought to take that thing out and snap some pictures, it has to be the only .44-40 Street Sweeper ever made!

I just looked at my records, I paid about $600 shipped in March of 2017. Lots and lots of extra parts, a complete extra FCG, and so on.

Naw, the guy who bought that kit isnt on this forum .. but I'd love to have a piece of your top section of receiver. It'd help me out a lot. *pretty please*

I'm not sure I have any left, but it's nothing special. Just has a square cross section on the top of the "U".

Those kits look like Striker 12s to me. They tend to be more then the SS, but that's still a lot, considering you can get a complete working SS for less if you shop around and are patient IMHO.

Absolutely, if there's something I can help with then I'm happy to!
