Anyone know what kind of material to use for a buffer. I keep reading Polyurethane like a 40-60 Durometer? Any thoughts?

Lots of different stuff for different buffers.

I use urethane in my M10. My first job was compounding and processing urethane so I made a simple mold and now have several lifetime supply of buffers.

I don’t recall the exact durometer, it’s not squishy. I would guess it to be about 60 on a shore A scale.

Application can vary, but 60-75A Shore is pretty good. You can go a bit harder if you like. If the urethane is too soft it will imprint or destroy the material more rapidly.

UHMW has a dur of 64-67. It's available in sheets of different thicknesses; cut, fit, install.
Simpler than trying to formulate your own.
