Bought an Uzi today - can I send it in to be worked in while waiting?

Bought a Vector Uzi today, woohoo.

It looks like it’s in great shape but I want it looked over and refinished by BWE. Can I send it to be worked in while waiting in the form 4?

I actually got it from John at NFAsales, only pics are the ones from him. Ill have to get pics as soon as it gets to my dealer. Ill have some before and after.

Im thinking of getting it reparked and then coated black. Anyone here have it recoated by BWE? what coating do they use and how do you like it?

BWE uses duracoat. I am very happy with my duracoated FA.

You can have your dealer send it to me during the transfer.

As dockless said I parkerized then Duracoat.

Hopefully the form 3 doesnt take too long, Ill be calling you as soon as it ets to my dealer.

I haven't had much experience with duracoat Im hoping it holds up well.

Duracoat holds up every bit as well as cerakoat. They are both two part epoxy paints, you just bake cerakoat.

Sounds like I should do that with mine as well. Still waiting for the expensive stamps, its been 10 months now. I should have had the dealer send it in way back when.

BWE folks...how long should would it take for you folks to Duracoat and generally look it over? I have already shot it and there were no issues
