Black IMI Type Finish On Vector Uzi?

I don't know if this has been asked before, but can Vector finish a Uzi in the black type finish like you see on the IMI guns?

Of course! they can do it for $50 but it will take additional 2~3 weeks to deliver!

Vector will be careful to tell you that they cannot duplicate the original finish on the IMI guns. I think they don't want people complaining that "it's not exactly the same." (said with a whiney voice.) But as coolhand said, Vector will do a number of finishes. Whatever they used on my Mini UZI was very similar to an original IMI gun. I really like it.

When you order a Vector with an IMI receiver, will the finish on it be the same as the Vector parts?

I've been thinking it over and I'm going to get the full-size version.

They will finish the color in same color (at least the outside). Unless you love to wipe your gun everyday why don't you get regular finish and save money & time at all together...

Bullitt3401, from the photos I've seen, it apprears that Vector is putting the same parkerized finish on the IMI receivers as all their other stuff. They don't appear to have the standard IMI black painted finish.

coolhand, what kind of finish has to be wiped down every day? Painted finishes are common on European military rifles. They considered them less likely to rust than a blued finish.

I've ask mines to be done in Black IMI. Just like my Model B
we will see the out come...in a few weeks time.
